davethewave
This is my 2nd time around with this topic. I've been skiing the Rivers of the California Delta behind my Sanger V-drive all my life. Never purchased A brand new skii till now.A Radar Senate. But it wasn't the performance I was expecting. But with no back boot (which i just ordered) could have something to do with it.Well, that and I'm A "fossile" at age 64 but hey, I'm not thinking about that when I'm up ! Baller Mtea Posted May 10, 2020 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2020 I am also 64 and bought a new Radar Senate last year which was my first ski purchase in 20 years. It took me awhile to get used to the new ski and had to change my body position some. I also learned after awhile how to tighten the bindings down well as my old Connelly had velcro closure on both the boot and the toe step which helped. I still think my old Connelly toe step holds better than the Radar lace up toe step. A rear boot might help I suppose but have never used one. That said, I definitely carve better with the Radar, particularly on my weak side.
davethewave
Ebay has the 2019 rear boot (orange) for $150. I also saw A kind of half boot that looked good for $100.
