EverythingHurts Posted July 21, 2020 Report Posted July 21, 2020 Hello all, Was hoping for some guidance as I'm in the market for a new ski. I did a lot of skiing in my late teens- early 20s, all free skiing, typically 34-36 @28 off on a 2005 66" F1. Since then, though my skills dulled a bit as my ski opportunities thinned out, I still find I seem to ski at my best at that speed and length; my ski also was damaged in a move and is no longer useable. In the last year or so, I've had the opportunity to ski a lot more, and it looks like I'll have a chance to actually work at the course a bit as well (mid-30s, never too old, right?). I grew up on the F1 and have mostly been using a borrowed 2008 F1 over the last 6-7 years (have skied the Omni a bit and just didn't quite turn like I was used to). The natural move seems to be something in that bloodline, but I'm willing to look around a bit. Suggestions? Thanks!
Baller jjackkrash Posted July 21, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 21, 2020 I had an F1 before the Prophecy came out and really liked that ski. See if you can find a leftover Connelly GT or GTR. Same "bloodline" but better.
Baller Jetsetr Posted July 21, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 21, 2020 How about coming out of the Stone Age and demo some post Fred and Wilma skis? Kinda silly to try and ski a 10-20 year old design when the ski tech is literally light years advanced. You will find a much better ski that will get your further into the course and still not break the bank. JMHO.....
Baller JBB Posted July 21, 2020 Baller Report Posted July 21, 2020 HO has a fantastic demo program... try before you buy! https://www.hosports.com/demo (I'd go Omega!)
