Baller Glydon Posted August 14, 2023 Baller Posted August 14, 2023 So never gave it much thought in my younger years, but now that I am more than 5 decades old , what "weight" should I be using for my ski size. My vest does hold a little water (O'neill Revenge Comp) , shorts are always surf shorts usually quiksilvers and they shed water well. Just wondering if I should be going with my true weight or weight with gear ? Oh and my ski is an A2 Syndicate 65.5. Weight without gear is 165 in ski season.
Administrators Horton Posted August 14, 2023 Administrators Posted August 14, 2023 @Glydon I see what you are saying and it is an interesting thought. The reality is the the factories are testing these skis and setting the weight charts with skiers in the real world with trunks and vest. These weight ranges are not some theoretical calculation. It would be funny if the factories set the weight ranges with totally naked test skiers. 1 Goode ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki ★ Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System ★ Wake Lending Become a Supporting Member or make a One-time Donation
Baller jjackkrash Posted August 14, 2023 Baller Posted August 14, 2023 Or they assume naked weight plus an allowance for some gear. Which is what I assumed.
