Crescent Bar River Fest Community Event Returns to the Columbia River

QUINCY, WASHINGTON (June 7, 2016) %E2%80%93 The biggest celebration of summer fun is on the Columbia River this June! The second annual Crescent Bar River Fest will take place at Crescent Bar in Quincy, WA on Friday, June 24 - Sunday, June 26. The festival, presented by Weinstein Beverage, the INT League and Crescent Bar is a free event to celebrate this unique community and all the families and friends who gather here.

The festival will feature many events over the course of three days centered around watersports competitions. There will be wine tasting, professional and amateur waterski competition, wakeboard and wake surf competitions, a paddle sports race, golf tournament, classic car show, motorcycle rally, live music, a beer and wine garden, bouncy obstacle course, live music, farmers market and more.

Crescent Bar River Fest will include the first annual Herb O'Brien Memorial Cup this year to celebrate the Godfather of waterskiing with a cash prize professional waterski event. Eight pro skiers from all over the world will be competing for the title on Saturday evening.

Crescent Bar's secluded back passage is the perfect venue for a watersports event thanks to the high cliffs and narrow channel which protect it from wind and waves. This location was one of Washington's first waterways used for competitive slalom skiing over 50 years ago.

If you can't make it to the event, you can watch from home. The INT League watersports event and Herb O'Brien Memorial Cup Professional Waterski competition will be live streaming online at CrescentBarRiverFest.com presented by Sioeye Cameras.

Wine Tour
In conjunction with Crescent Bar Charters, a bus tour of Quincy area wineries will take off from The Bus Stop. They will visit Cave B, Beaumont Cellars, and Errant Cellars. Registration for the Wine Tour is available at CrescentBarRiverFest.com (%2428).

Opening Night Party & Event Check In
Crescent Bar River Fest will officially kick off at Tower Pizza on Friday night from 7:00-10:00pm. Wine tasting will be available from Cave B, Beaumont Cellars, and Errant Cellars. (%2410)

INT League Waterski, Wakeboard, Wake Skate, Kneeboard and Wake Surf Competition
Bob Feil Boats Presents the INT League amateur waterski, wakeboard, wake skate and kneeboard competition on Saturday. The amateur INT League wake surf competition will take place Sunday morning, the top female and male surfers will win an Inland Surfer wake surf board. The INT League has divisions for riders and skiers of all ability levels from beginner to open. Anyone is welcome to participate in the event, pre-registration is available at CrescentBarRiverFest.com (%2445), but will not be available on the morning of the event. Spectating is free to the public at Fireman's Beach/Crescent Bar Park. *Practice Friday TBA

Herb O'Brien Memorial Cup %E2%80%93 Professional Waterski Tournament
Radar Skis and MasterCraft Boats present Crescent Bar's first professional waterski contest at 5:00pm on Saturday. Spectating is free to the public at Fireman's Beach/Crescent Bar Park.

Get on the dock with the Pros! There will also be a Pro/Am component on Sunday at 12:30pm. Teams of four amateur skiers and one pro will compete in a team event. The winning amateur team members will win a Radar waterski. Registration for the Pro/Am event is available at CrescentBarRiverFest.com (%2420).

Classic Car Cruise In
The 2nd Annual Classic Car Cruise In & Car Show Co-Hosted by the Wenatchee Valley Cruisers will take place on Saturday from 9:00am to 1:00pm at the Crescent Bar Park. A panel of local judges will vote on the Best of Show, and there will be additional trophies for the People's Choice, and Kid's Choice. Car registration will take place at the park on Saturday morning (%2410). All who register their car will get 10% off a round of 9-hole golf to be used that day at the Crescent Bar Golf Course.

Beer Garden and Live Music
Crescent Bar River Fest will have a 21+ Beer and Wine Garden featuring Budweiser Beer and Beaumont Cellars wine at the Fireman's Beach/Crescent Bar Park, presented by the Sand Trap on Saturday and Sunday. On Saturday, Rust on the Rails, a local band will be playing on the beach from Noon to 3pm.

Inflatable Obstacle Course
Bring the kiddo's down to play on the obstacle course inflatable on Saturday at the beach presented by Yahoo! A parent or guardian must accompany minors.

Paddle Board Demos
Stop by the Sandbar Marine Booth to try out a complimentary Connelly Paddle Board demo on the beach on Saturday and Sunday.

Motorcycle Rally
End your ride at the Crescent Bar Park on Saturday afternoon! A special space will be reserved for motorcyclists who would like to come down and show off their bike and raise money for the Wounded Warriors Project. Donations can be made at Woundedwarriorproject.org.

VIP Party at the Sandtrap
Join the party! The pro's and all the athletes will be celebrating their success with an awards party at the Sandtrap Bar and Grill on Saturday evening at 7:30pm. There will be live music by Brian Dijulio and the Love Jacks until midnight, and a DJ until 2:00am! No cover charge.

Stand Up Paddle Board & Paddle Sports Race
The Paddle Race presented by Beaumont Cellars is a new event at Crescent Bar River Fest this year, hosted in conjunction with Salmon Bay Paddle on Sunday morning at 7:30am. The race will include an advanced 6 mile course, and novice 2.33 mile course. There are divisions for SUP, rowing craft, outrigger/canoe, paddle craft, prone paddle boards, and kayaks. Golf Tournament
The second annual Crescent Bar River Fest Golf Tournament will be held at the Crescent Bar golf course on the island at 9:00am on Sunday morning. Seventy two golfers will do a shot gun start for this scramble. Pre-Registration for the golf tournament is required at CrescentBarRiverFest.com (%2443).

Channel Closed to Boaters for the Weekend
An EZ Slalom course will be installed in the waterway for the duration of the weekend. It will be set up in the channel during the week prior to the event, however the passage will remain a no wake zone to the public. The event staff askes that boaters using that area please avoid the buoys. For the safety of the event participants, boaters will not be allowed to pass through the competition area during event hours. Please visit Crescentbarriverfest.com to view a map of the closed area.
