The MasterCraft ProStar Continues To Break Records and Build Resume

Vonore – Released to overwhelming critical acclaim and high expectations, the new MasterCraft ProStar has not disappointed. In its first season, it wrecked the jump record, flinging Freddy Krueger 250 feet. It is responsible for the European slalom record, pulling MasterCraft's own Lousiana – Monroe to a collegiate nationals win and most astoundingly, the ProStar smashed over 50 records at the 35 + Worlds.

Groveland, Florida isn't just a hot bed for orange groves. In early October 2014 it played host to the 35 + Worlds and became the place where the ProStar pulled an unheard amount of records and personal bests. An astonishing 55 World Records were shattered at this tournament, including women's slalom, men's trick, slalom, and jump. Add into the mix there were even more personal bests than records and the new ProStar lefts its indelible mark on the 2014 35 + Worlds.

Then enter Team Skier Freddie Winters who is now the European men's slalom co-record holder. During the Tri-Lakes fall record tournament held in Zachary Louisiana, Winter's rounded 1 buoy at 43 off, a record now shared with champion skier Andy Mapple.

But MasterCraft has always said the ProStar is not just a boat for the pros. The Louisiana – Monroe University team has been training behind the MasterCraft ProStar all year. Without a doubt, training behind the world's best ski boat paid dividends as ULM walked away with the honor and hardware for taking top place at the Collegiate Nationals. In fact, 3 of the 4 top teams at Collegiate Nationals train behind the iconic ProStar. *

"A lot of blood, sweat and tears were put into the ProStar," said team and event manager Aarne Clow. "So it is hugely gratifying to witness the ProStar become what we knew it would be, the best ski boat on the water for all skill levels and ages. We didn't want a boat that just worked for the professional ranks. We wanted a boat that anyone could ski behind and break their own personal best."
