Ultimate Skiers Weekend Event Schedule

USA Water Ski in partnership with Nautique and CBS are so excited to bring back the US Open in 2014 as it coincides with our 75th Year Anniversary and the USA Water Ski Foundation's Ski with the Legends Event. The US Open weekend will be the ultimate skiers' weekend%E2%80%94for professional skiers, legends and water ski fans from around the world. Please take a minute to read through the event details and the schedule so you are in-the-know with the weekend's festivities and realize what a historical event this will be...and you can be a part of it! Here are a few of the highlights for this weekend:

THURSDAY OCTOBER 23, 2014
WHAT: US Open preliminary rounds (TBD possibly men and women trick and women slalom) and/or reserved practice for US Open participants.
WHERE: Lake Grew, 1251 Holy Cow Rd., Polk City, FL 33868

FRIDAY OCTOBER 24, 2014

WHAT: US Open Preliminary Round (schedule: TBD) Open Museum / Hall of Fame Tours, Legends and Pros Meet & Greet and The 2014 Legendary Luau Reception.

WHERE: Lake Grew and the Hall of Fame Museum (1251 Holy Cow Rd., Polk City, FL 33868)
WHO: US Open participants, Legends participating in the Ski with the Legends event, skiers attending the Ski with the Legends weekend, ultimate waterski fans, and tournament officials. Open to the public.

DETAILS: Lunch and concessions available for purchase. The USA Water Ski Hall of Fame Museum will be open. Spectator chairs and tent will be set up near concessions.

KICK-OFF PARTY: The 2014 Ultimate Skiers Weekend Kick-Off Party! Today's Pros and Yesterday's Legends Come Together to Kick Off the Ultimate Skiers' Weekend. This reception will serve as the "kick-off" event for the US Open, Ski with the Legends and Celebrating 75 Years on the Water with USA Water Ski. Additionally, we will be honoring John Worden's memory with a special presentation to the Worden Family. Dinner will be provided for all US Open skiers, Legends and Ski with the Legends participants. SATURDAY OCTOBER 25, 2014 (US OPEN) 

WHAT: US Open Final Rounds (slalom, jump and trick) and after-finals concert and party.

WHERE: Lake Ivanhoe, Downtown Orlando, Florida 

WHO: US Open participants, sponsors/vendors, USA-WS Staff, tournament crew, spectators. 

DETAILS: Finals and beer garden/festival ending with the concert and award presentations. Concert will begin immediately after the last jumper and will go until 8:00pm. Skier-After-Party will be at the “Hammered Lamb” directly across from the US Open Site on Lake Ivanhoe. Each skier receives their first drink free. 

SATURDAY OCTOBER 25, 2014 (Ski with the Legends) 
Ski with the Legends will take place at Lake Grew (Polk City, FL), the World Barefoot Center (Winter Haven, FL) and on the west coast at Crystal Point Lake in Gilbert, AZ. Saturday Night, the Ski with the Legends event is hosting a dinner and open bar for all participants of every event at the Fantasy of Flight Officer’s Club in Polk City, which is open to US Open skiers as well. There will a $40 charge for additional guests. All participants must RSVP by October 19^th  here.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY OCTOBER 26, 2014 (McCormick’s Fall Open) 

Since you’re in town and at the peak of your skiing season. Sign up to ski in the McCormick’s Record on Saturday/Sunday and get that last score in before the world ranking lists comes out. More Info.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 26, 2014 (SKI WITH THE LEGENDS & SOCIAL) 

WHAT: Ski with the Legends Jump Clinic and closing social hour.

WHERE: Lake Grew, Polk City, Florida 

WHO: Ski with the Legends Jump participants, Freddy Krueger, Scot Ellis, Carl Roberge, Scotty Clack, etc., plus US Open participants are invited to watch, socialize and interact with clinic participants, sign autographs, etc.

DETAILS: USA Water Ski Foundation will provide drinks, cocktails and appetizers for the closing “social hour” on site.
