Baller Dacon62 Posted December 31, 2010 Baller Share Posted December 31, 2010 I know all you hard core skiers out there think it's an abomination to put a tower on a mid engine ski boat but I have to ask if anyone can tell me at what rope length the Malibus illusion X tower, on a Response LXI, starts to interfere with the rope path while skiing a slalom course? Chad_Scott
I have had towers on my last two Malibu promo boats and have not seen a problem with the tower interfering with the rope. CP and several other shortline skiers have skied behind the boat several times and there has not been an issue with the tower. So i would not really worry about having a tower on the boat. Cant beat the tower in Louisiana for boat resale.
Baller Dacon62 Posted January 3, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted January 3, 2011 Chad Scott, Do the comments apply to the Illusion X or are you referring to a different tower type(Titan)?
Guest
Chad has the Extreme on his boat as do any Malibu Promos with towers. The Illusion-X sits back more and does interfere with the rope at 38' off. Not too bad to own but, too much for tournaments.
Guest
Chad's boat is the one that pulled Regina's records.(with the tower). Mine is the one at WaterSki Mag's Fantasy Camp.
