Baller Roger Posted July 1, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2011 Who was driving? Excellent boat path; compliments to him or her! I agree he makes 41 look easier than it must be. I saw him run it a few times while he was here at Okeeheelee earlier in the year. I think he's run something like 23 tournament 39s now without a miss. Baller_ DW Posted July 1, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted July 1, 2011 Anybody know what is on the front of his ski, looks like a round disc of some sort?

Baller_ Wish Posted July 1, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted July 1, 2011 Man did u all notice the amount of lean/angle/acceleration or whatever you want to call it when he hooks up for the gates. And he is a ski length away fom the first wake. I don't think I've seen another skier accomplish that much so early before the first wake and by the time the tail of the ski is hitting the second wake, the edge change is almost complete. To me that's why his 41 is "easy". It IS all about his start.

Baller skispray Posted July 1, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2011 Does anyone else come into their offside with that much knee bend? It doesn't look like he straightens his legs until the apex of his turn.

Baller Stevie Boy Posted July 2, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2011 Maybe, Maybe Not but to me looks very much like Andy Mapple style of skiing, perhaps thats why he makes it look easy.
Baller ForrestGump Posted July 2, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2011 Andy Mapple is exactly what I thought when i saw this video.
Baller lakeaustinskier Posted July 2, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 2, 2011 I attended a Andy Mapple clinic and the #1 piece of advice he gave me was "don't be afraid to be aggressive and lean hard". He was talking about aggressively leaning right after the ski finishes the turn.....
D-Law
He makes that look UNBELIEVABLY easy!
Baller Razorskier1 Posted July 3, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 3, 2011 He runs 41 early. Crazy! He seems to take a lot of angle pretty early, but is still able to maintain outbound off the second wake. For most of us if we take that much angle early we lose it to the boat off the second wake. Kid has a great understanding of using load and angle correctly. Is it too much for a baller to ask than to just feel that good one time?
