Baller scuppers Posted August 25, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2011 Any suggestions for a fix. I handle dinged my almost brand new A2 last night. Hit on the ridge right near the flaming bird head medallion. I did this trying the ventral. I didn't like the results.
Administrators Horton Posted August 25, 2011 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2011 If the ding is not on the edge of the ski put a sticker on it. You may be bummed but there is not much to do. Baller scuppers Posted August 25, 2011 Author Baller Share Posted August 25, 2011 Good Idea - I guess. It's not on the edge. just on the edge of one of the ridges that gives the tip some structure. PS. Thanks for the good website PSS Didn't like the ventral AT ALL. Never mind the ding.
Administrators Horton Posted August 25, 2011 Administrators Share Posted August 25, 2011 Don't worry about the structure. Enjoy the site. Tell your friends. Baller Chuck_Dickey Posted August 25, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2011 Besides the ding, what was it you didn't like about the Ventral
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted August 25, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2011 I am with Chuck on this one. I have used the ventral on both the Nano and the Sans SR-2, and it greatly improved performance and stability. On the Nano it really decreased downcourse slippage off the apex and with the SR-2 it stopped all the side to side hunting prior to the gate pullout. On both skis it kept the tip down better coming off the apex.
Baller ForrestGump Posted August 25, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 25, 2011 Send a picture of the ding to onefasttwinturbo@yahoo.com. I have been able to fix most any ding so that it's relatively unnoticeable. Just fixed a dinged Elite and you would have never known. That one was pretty easy, though, since I only had to use resin and didn't have to match paint.
Baller MAD11 Posted August 26, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 26, 2011 By the way, Shane has one almost perfect Elite for sale. Don't sweat the putty.

KM
Had a small ding on the bottom of my Nano towards the tip. More cosmetic than structural. Filled it with JB Weld Marine and sanded. I would like to know how you could possibly match the paint on that one. The Nano has a very complex graphic of black/grey/white smoke and fake carbon fiber running through it. I may just paint it black like the side walls.
