Administrators Horton Posted November 17, 2014 Administrators Share Posted November 17, 2014 The below video is un-edited footage my ride this afternoon. (Normally I would never show my opening pass) I ran four 32s at 34. Then a 32 at 36. You can tell because it looks like ass. Then I ran two 32s at 35 mph. Holy crap 35 feels awesome. It felt easier than 34. I like it. Baller MattP Posted November 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2014 @Horton I would check your thread title. You should ski at mans speed more often.
Baller Chef23 Posted November 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2014 35 probably felt a little slower because you had just run 36. You can hear the difference in the boat at 36 it sounds fast.

Baller andjules Posted November 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2014 Experiment suggestion: - next time out, run one -32 @ 34.2, then one -32 @ 35 - on the next set, off-the-dock -32 @ 35mph I'd be interested to see how much is about 35 feeling awesome (the way the ski rides) and how much is just 36 just freaking us out and making everything after seem calming. Surely a bit of both.
Baller RAWSki Posted November 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2014 I agree with Chef23, dropping right from 36 to 35 made if feel super easy. I drop from 34 to 33 when I get frustrated and it really builds confidence. Horton I don't know how you ski in that water...I think I saw A Ripple near 3 Ball! haha Nice skiing, I'm looking at an inch of snow here thanks for rubbing it in. Baller jimbrake Posted November 17, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 17, 2014 @horton - good skiin'. You have a nice onside at all speeds. You need to make your offside more like your onside.
Administrators Horton Posted November 18, 2014 Author Administrators Share Posted November 18, 2014 @rico I know that @AdamCord has spent some time at 37 or 38 mph. I think that would be great for you. Baller schafer Posted November 18, 2014 Baller Share Posted November 18, 2014 I've done a few of my openers by mistake at 37 mph this year as my driver didn't pay attention to the stargazer in practice mode still at +1.0. It feels fast. But I can see how it makes 36 feel just a little slower for me.
