Baller cruznski Posted May 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2015 Hello out there! Now I know most of you all have moved on to GPS based speed control, but alas I have to try to fix an older PP and got a used one, but it seems I am not getting the RPM into it. Does anyone have a diagram of how the RPM signal is routed to module/display? I think it comes off the tachometer to the module?
Baller BrennanKMN Posted May 2, 2015 Baller Share Posted May 2, 2015 That is correct; the signal should come from the tachometer. However, that is only true on the older boats. What might help us help you is letting us know what kind of Perfect Pass system you are trying to install and what boat you have. Also, if you are not aware, Perfect Pass has a really good install manual and video: http://perfectpass.com/sites/all/themes/perfectpass%20-%20Copy/images/WakeEdition.Mechanical.pdf http://www.perfectpass.com/?q=installationvideo
Baller_ DW Posted May 5, 2015 Baller_ Share Posted May 5, 2015 @cruznski: I suggest as noted above you go to the PP site and look through all of the mechanical manuals as they are all slightly different. Some have some good schematics and decent instructions on install. Good luck.
