Baller skialex Posted September 29, 2015 Baller Share Posted September 29, 2015 Hi Ballers, a friend gave me his old warp 8 to try it. Ski has very little use and looks like new. I measured the fin and settings were very different than the settings given from Blue Sky for the warp 14. I usually like to start at stock, but there is not a lot of info out there. No. with a Mitutoyio caliper were: 2.489 6.860 tips 0.958 head Wing 7' With the slot caliper: 2.488 6.808 0.925 DFT looks to much forward. I took everything apart, clean ski, bolts, fin and clamp from residues and put everything back on at the same numbers. Put the front boot at 29". I would really appreciate any info or suggestions of settings. A good start will save me time and give a safer ride! Thank you. Alex,

Baller skialex Posted September 29, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted September 29, 2015 Thanks, these numbers make more sense to me, I usually prefer to run my fin shorter, deeper and with less DFT.
Administrators Horton Posted September 29, 2015 Administrators Share Posted September 29, 2015 Settings on Warp are extra critical and the DFT is so hard on that ski. Baller skialex Posted September 29, 2015 Author Baller Share Posted September 29, 2015 Yes I've noticed the round end of the tail, slot caliper is very helpful! I'm pretty confident with my measuring, I have done it many times and for many skiers. I will use the exact numbers you posted. Thanks!
