New Melones has the new course in and i finally got out to try it today. One word 'Rollers'

No fishing boats or wind to speak of but at 132' deep a few trip up and down the course and its game over. The lake sits at just below full capacity so that depth and width of water mass does not help. Glad to see the course back in tho!!

@cragginshred - I will be there in 2 weeks. I'm excited. When the lake is real full I remember skiing 3-4 passes then waiting for several minutes, maybe 5+ then a few more passes. I also remember feeling like there was an anchor tied to my ski

One thing I liked about skiing Puget Sound over most any public lake I ever skied is that at mid tide, the shores are shallow, and wakes die on the beach and do not reverb. Way better. When the tide got high enough to hit the bulkhead in my home bay back then, I knew the water was going to be "Dancy" at that spot. I tried to avoid those times. And Puget sound is plenty deep. I am certain it is more the banks than the depth.
