Replacement Steering Cable

I'm trying to find a replacement cable for part number Morse 300619-216IN. This is an 18' foot cable. I cant find a replacement anywhere. Wondering if anyone knows of options short of replacing the helm and all steering components

Did you try skidim.com? They have all kinds of stuff for inboards.

Morse controls got rolled up into teleflex and that got rolled up into seastar solutions which is also recently purchased however is still the brand under which most of the mechanical helms are sold. So searching for the morse parts is going to be parts that are about 20 years old.

 

But if you contact SeaStar http://www.seastarsolutions.com/ they should be able to get you the current part number for a 216" rack style steering cable that will fit your helm and if there was an update to the rack that will cause it not to work a complete - which if that is the case a whole brand new rack and pinion steering kid is ~150 bucks

Thanks for the response! I did try skidim. I’ve found reference to this cable but nothing available. I will contact sea star thanks for that info

Thanks. I left a message and email at skidim and will call again Monday. Also left messages with Jamestown. I have found availability of a Uflex system, but no confirmation it is direct replacement for the Morse part number
