Baller keithh2oskier Posted May 30, 2021 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2021 Looks like I got a knot in my rope and took a ski ride. Rope is almost new with less than 6 rides on it. I tried by hand but no luck. Any tips or tools?
Baller Kelvin Posted May 30, 2021 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2021 Get it wet and hit it with a smooth faced hammer on a smooth surface.
Baller_ Bruce_Butterfield Posted May 30, 2021 Baller_ Share Posted May 30, 2021 Work in a few drops of dish soap and see if you can work it loose. If not add another few drops and try kelvin’s tip. If it was easy, they would call it Wakeboarding
Baller igkya Posted May 30, 2021 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2021 Exactly what @Kelvin and @Bruce_Butterfield sed. Always works.
Baller Hockdog Posted May 30, 2021 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2021 Soak it in dish soap briefly, work it into the knot and start tapping on it on a hard surface with a rubber mallet or a hammer handle being careful not to break any strands and keep working the knot loose. Works almost every time...
Baller keithh2oskier Posted May 30, 2021 Author Baller Share Posted May 30, 2021 Perfect. Thanks I'll give it a try tomorrow
Baller klindy Posted May 30, 2021 Baller Share Posted May 30, 2021 Soap works as mentioned. Without a hammer or rubber mallet you can try to double up the rope with the knot at the end of the loop. Using the rope itself as the “hammer” and slap it down hard on a smooth, hard surface.
