Charlie Ross’ (Canada) score of 3 buoys on the 10.25 metre rope (58kph) has been approved as a new World Under-17 Boy’s Slalom Record.  The new world record was towed by the award-winning Ski Nautique during the 2nd round of the Mc Skis Open 12 on 30th April 2022 at Lake Denise, Clermont, Florida USA.

I have ridden both the 2019 Senate Pro and currently skiing the 2022 Senate Pro. To me the 2019 rides a nice sooth line and when your on it it's great and goes along way. The 2022 turns and accelerates, much better and has the capability to allow you to add in some scramble if needed. That said it did take me longer (a few weeks tweaking the setup), to settle in to the ski than the senates of the past. I think this was because as I moved from the 2017-2021 Senates they skied similar but more refined in feel in design progression. That said , I was skiing occasional 4@11.25 and have gained +/- 5 buoys since riding the 2022 (now running 11.25 regular and a best of 3@ 10.75) so no complaining. I'm on a 69 , 6,6 240lb, Ski@55k. Overall, I like it alot better and would not switch back.

Low positive on 135 and low negative 246 means you were fairly straight but running a touch over on the driver side. Assuming the positive and negative were similar numbers

 

This is a draft of my network setup, I piggyback the boat camera network by putting an access point in the boat and connecting the rover to it. I set it up with 2.4ghz not 5 ghz because the m5 bridge uses 5ghz and I don't want signal conflicts.

@Horton I do have wifi coverage over the whole lake. I ran surepath all summer using it. I can share my setup with you if you want.

Just finished a ski bender 19 out of 20 days. End up turning 4@38 34mph for the first time yesterday. Now I can take a few days off and recuperate at bit.

@C5Quest yes Keeping it simple I had a 19 pro build and switched to the 20 pro build. Both are great skies. Feel of the 20 was fimillure (i never questioned what the ski was going to do) but it was more refined and accelerated better. Given the choice id do the 20 without question. If a deal is out there on a 19 it's good choice.

@ghutch the answer is different for each skier. If you want a general answer since you can run it. I'd say quite upper body, and handle control during perturn are important. Post a video to get ideas that will directly relate to your skiing.

I agree with John. Age has nothing to do with it. Discipline, time on the water, coaching from people who are better (pro and friends) makes the difference. I would add a great driver is beyond helpful in establishing good ski technique. My first full pass in the course at was @ age 45 and yes, I'll run 38 before I'm 50.

 

Coming off a 2019 Senate Pro, the ride felt, familiar but with a new level of refinement, smooth turns, soiled feel and great acceleration. I setup the ski using the same settings as my 19 on my first set ran right up to my normal average, which is going up now :).

 

Overall it's well worth taking a demo ride just remember to bring your wallet.

If I recall its 3/8, same size as air tool fittings.

I started with 6.855, 2.47, .77 DT

34 into 32off 12 to 15 mph winds. Would have loved to have clam water. Hope to see some tomorrow but it’s not looking good
