Mastercrafter said it well—. At 34 and 36 it is great.  They are ALL great.  I’ve owned all of them over the last 5 years

Currently have a Ski Nautique. Don’t notice a damn thing different behind the boat at 34mph. I start at -22 and get to -35 on an exceptional day

Liquid d nailed it.  Buy it, it works. It just works. Allowed me to ski after a bad shoulder injury. I didn’t think it was possible. As a bonus, it will establish good muscle memory in a “hips forward” stay stacked” sort of way.  The design is quite brilliant.  
 

And if you are fortunate like I was to be able to stop using it, you can seek it easily although I would not do it.  I like the insurance of having it available. 
 
As great as it is, I do t use it unless I have to for the simple reason of comfort.

Owned a ‘93 ProStar with the LT1 corvette engine and owned both a ‘97 and a 2000 SkiNautique.

ProStar had great wake for that era. But, Ski Nautique superior in build quality, tracking, and the wake: as good as it gets. Every line length is so so soft. Get the Nautique. Easy choice

Phenomenal barefoot boat, maybe the best inboard for footing. Slalom, not so much. Wake is very defined and somewhat hard. Tracking is very good. Also, Sanger, unlike the big 3, utilizes wood in construction. The stringers are fiberglass encapsulated wood.

Stevie Boy, it is not your boat!! I currently own a 2019 Nautique 200. Previous boat was 2017 ProStar, before that a 2018 TXI. THEY ARE ALL EXCELLENT, PERIOD. End of story. It is your form, I’m sorry. 22 off on any of these is not the sweet spot but if properly stacked, it is a non issue. Like I said, I’ve owned them all, I just happen to think there is a lot more to a ski boat than the wake. Personally, my last purchase of the 200 came down to what I perceive as superior quality build (just opinion) and superior tracking (fact).

I owned one many years ago. Good slalom tractor. Decent but not great build quality, nothing like a Nautique of that era. BUT…. if it’s cheap, do it. The wake is pretty good. Low but a bit hard. Tracking is not good so if you are into serious shortline, forget it. Interior room is SMALL

LoopSki: YES and YES. Can’t explain why it works but it works. Takes some getting use to but within a couple passes you’ll feel great. My shoulder is shot, I’m 61 years old and was very discouraged about my skiing prospects. After a few sets, this damn vest actually prevented me from risking any further injury. It seems to “keep you in check”. It’s impossible to do anything stupid. Tough to explain but I hope that helps. I know it’s not inexpensive but I really believe it’s worth every dime.

Owned an ‘89 Malibu Skier back in the day. Low but somewhat hard wake. Well constructed boat. Was tboned by a Mastercraft at 36 mph. Boat was damaged but repaired. Crazy but true. LOTS OF SPRAY!!

Am I biased to the Ski Nautique? Not really. I think all three are fantastic to ski. Just sold a 2019 TXI to a good friend. Great boat. If pressed, I can come up with some criticism of the TXI but it is nitpicking. Prostar? Owned a 2017 and loved it. Could I find some some fault? Sure, but again. Nitpicking.

I go back to skierjp’s comments earlier in this thread. Get on edge, handle to hip and pull through wakes. No big deal. There is a hell of a lot more to a good ski boat than a bump at 22 off.

That is beyond me but as an owner I can only relay the feedback I get from ski partners that ski the 22 off length. Personally, I don’t really feel the difference.

Skierjp, you absolutely nailed it and are obviously correct about tournament skiing. Agree with you 100%. I guess I’ve just grown tired of the grumbling and figured that for a lot of non tournament skiers that this suggestion would help “ease the pain”

The 22 off “problem” is easily solved. Simply input 28 off into the screen and boom! Problem solved. Butter

I am hoping this helps all of the ballers that have been contemplating an OffCourse purchase. I have now had mine for about 2 weeks and in a nutshell: THANK YOU ERIK!! A little background in an effort to fully explain my excitement and so that those of you in a similar situation can relate and make a decision to buy a unit. I am 60 yrs old and for about 15 years had daily access to a permanent course. Like most of us, I became an addict, reaching a point at which I ran 32 off with the occasional 35 off. Circumstances changed and I lost access to any course. This was 10 years ago and I have been free skiing ever since. As grateful as I was to be able to live on a lake and free ski, it just doesn't compare to the thrill and sense of accomplishment of course skiing. Two weeks ago, I felt like I was reborn, I'm 40 again! Seriously, I don't want to sound dramatic BUT Erik nailed it. He hit it out of the ballpark and I am beyond grateful. The thrill is back, the challenge, the sense of accomplishment.

 

Does it replicate a course and feel the same? I say YES! Once you establish that start gate timing, it brought me right back to my course skiing 20 years ago. The timing is spot on, you can see the splash EASILY. The unit has worked perfectly without a hiccup. The learning curve is short. And at my old ass age, I don't worry about hitting a ball and taking out an ankle. Here's another great feature: I ski the course in nothing but glass for the most part because now you can choose where to ski! That being said, on a few less than perfect days with some mildly rough water, I still had no issues seeing the splash. I hope that this "review" helps those of you that are on the fence. Feel free to bounce any questions my way.

 

Another note: I had some stupid , basic questions the first couple of days and emailed Erik. They guy responds immediately and personally phones me and answered all questions.

Thanks Jody. Well said. They have had my money ($1650) for weeks but that doesn't seem to matter. At least I know it's not me-- just their terrible way of doing business

Have any ballers had the same experience I've and with Zero off ( E Controls)?? Ordered on 3/17, it is 3/31. No product, no return phone calls, no return emails, no answers.

I replaced the GT-40 with a 343 Excalibur and all went well. However, one task remains and I need help please. Anybody know how to mount the original PCM trans cooler to the new engine? Any thoughts/suggestions are greatly appreciated.

What about a TSC one repowered with the EX 343? Still the Acme 422?
