  1. No kidding. The first batch supposedly sold out immediately. I have my deposit down for the next batch figuring that there would be some real deal reviews on the product by the time my times comes. I’m not on social media (I don’t think this site counts) so I’m not seeing anything besides what would be posted on their site or on this forum. Very odd to not hear anything from the first group of buyers. I love the solution and I’m really hoping some users come forward with their thoughts.
  2. Very awesome! I feel better that at least my '17 is still relevant.

The best part out of all of this is the MC website slowing down to a crawl. I'd like to believe that there is so much interest in skiing that the servers are frying right now.

  3. My wife and I ski together without a 3rd and always wear the safety kill switch. Right before we jump off the swim deck before a set whoever is driving repeats the speed, letter, whether cruise control is on, and if the safety is attached (the kill switch). Every single time. No exceptions. Too many things can go wrong especially with no one else in the boat.

Most of us have heard the story of the driver who reached over the side of the boat to pick up a ski and accidentally hit the throttle and was thrown out of the boat. The boat circled both of them in the water and didn’t end well.

Even with a spotter or judge in the boat, I’m surprised the kill switch isn’t required.

  4. Bingo @Fatroll. Back in the mid-90's we were wakeboarding behind regular tournament ski boats. It was a ton of fun. Once we had our fundamentals down we added a bit of weight and a skylon pole. We then learned spins and inverts without a problem. Lots of falling but nothing like the crashes you take on these big honking wakes of today. The huge wakes today don't allow them to learn the basics. Beginners go out and take one nasty fall then realize surfing is way more enjoyable. 90% of the wakeboarders I see out here should be behind a smaller boat, shorten the rope, and go slower. Have you seen how sloppy a fat wakeboat's wake is at 17mph? No thank you.

    Anyways...I miss the 90's. :)

  5. We live on the south shore of Lake Travis and do a lot of open water skiing early in the mornings (mostly on weekdays). We're technically in Austin so that's pretty far downstream. The lake is very wide and super populated with large boats, surfing, and chaos down this far. If you don't want to ski at the crack of dawn then you'd need to be much further upstream near the Lago Vista area. We don't do any recreational boating on the lake, at least not in our ski boat. We ski and then flee.
  6. Thanks Jeff!

Great experience for us! The wife and I both skied to our abilities and even took a medal back home with us. Huge thanks to everyone who helped put it on. Hats off to all of you. Great site. Great people. The bullet holes in the hotel doors were not so great but made for a good story. Also got to meet Horton in person…meh. Kidding… maybe
