  1. I have a 1999 Sunsetter LXI and it's been a great boat. I use it for slalom only and at 15 off it's got a good wake from 26-34mph. I've pulled other skiers up to 35 off and while it's not the same wake as the newer boats, they were still able to run the course. The prior owner used it primarily as a barefoot boat, so I would assume it's good for that. The price seems pretty high, I'm getting ready to list mine with around 820 hours and was going to start a few thousand below that.
  2. I'm on Lake Ola just outside of Mount Dora. We love the area but don't have kids so not sure about the schools, but I have a few friends who send their kids to Montverde Academy. If you're looking for a smaller town I would consider Clermont, Winter Garden and Mt Dora areas. The downside is the only college close by is Lake Sumter State College (Clermont and Leesburg). Getting closer to Orlando would give you more options.
  3. I purchased a 1999 LXI three years ago and paid $16k USD. From the pictures I would say similar condition, mine had 725 hours at purchase. I'm still a 15 off skier but at my level I can't tell the difference between it and the 196 and 200 that I regularly ski behind. So far it's been a great boat.
  4. I have a 1999 Sunsetter LXI and am still a 15 off skier. I also regularly ski behind a 2016 200 and while I'm sure there is a difference, it's not noticeable to me at that length. The caveat being that I also keep 1/4 tank or less fuel and added 150 pounds on passenger side to level out.
