  1. @MS Don't forget E controls owns Murphy and ZO. I Believe just about every manufacturer uses them for their screens and speed control. They are dreadful. I do believe Nautique is the only one who writes their own code for the screens. In regards to the topic of new boats I can only speak on behalf of Nautique, but we sell plenty of new $70- now $120k ski boats and even $220k wake boats. Very, very few boats have issues from the factory. When issues occur, there is usually a trail back to the owner and how its been used or maintained.
  2. The retail price for that cable from Nautique is $206.50. We have it on the website for $184.00 with free shipping However, if a baller were to email me I always willing to help out the most possible. I can't speak on behalf of the quality or brand of the amazon cable. I do know most would rather pay a little more to a company(especially one that promotes the sport) who has an oem product with a person they can call, email, etc when questions or issues arise!
  3. Rocky and Amador are really the only ones who give lessons at the club..I can give you there info if you like Or Ann McGinnis a bit north in FTL. But if you would like to ski and you're in town shoot me a message and I can take you out. We usually ski mornings before work Monday thru Thursday and twice on Saturday and Sunday. we usually put a G in to go surf and hangout between sets on the weekend.
  4. We didn't feel dunking a 200 this past Sunday night. so I just skied the gs 20 we were already in, and I was actually very impressed. Worth taking one for a test drive. Just doesn't track like a 200, But you can't take the family and surf a 200 either.
  5. @Nicad that's a bummer. We just rigged a a 115etec on 17ft Carolina skiff and it would suffice for what you're looking to do. I'm partial to the e-tecs,More power to weight and torque. The evinrude 90 ho is actually a 4 cyl and the same block as the 115-135 and may be worth consulting with a local dealer about.
  6. @Jrbeeks didn't even think about north of the border, not sure on the logistics there. My apologies. Our northeast rep is great, keeps us with an updated available to sell, and they have a program now to help 2 day orders placed by the right time Monday. I can ask and see why it's such an ordeal for y'all to get gear. Or perhaps someone else will chime in
  7. HO sports is a pleasure to deal with. Although, Shipping can be somewhat pricey if you don't make the moderately large bulk order to get the shipping incentive. But our rep has always been great and hands on, especially for how small of a dealer we are. I know you want to walk in and buy gear on the spot, but you could always talk to your dealer to have them get it on their next order.

    Just my .02

  8. The problem is when a battery starts to go bad you may be fine for the most part. Until you have to crank the motor a few extra times(perhaps the lanyard wasn't attached) or you run the blower, bilge, and radio and lose the surface charge and no longer have enough cca to spin the flywheel.
  9. Rib injuries are tricky. Not much they'll do either way but you'll know how to adjust your activities if it's more than bruised. I broke mine in hockey and came back early and ended up much much worse. If your body is telling you something, listen to it.
  10. As said earlier only 3 manufacturers. Most batteries will have 1 year replacement and a prorated warranty after that. In fact interstate Just settled on a class action because of that. Johnson controls makes most batteries like Walmart and such.

A marine battery will usually last 3-6 years depending. We store around 350 boats a season in Ny. We only disconnect but leave battery in the boat. We only have to replace around 5-10 batteries due to warranty a year. These are exide or deka 800/1000 batteries.
