@swbca Sounds good that you have an OffCourse™ coming!

Regarding simulating gates with fixed buoys, it sure would save one projectile per set but it comes with other challenges. Flying down the lake at 36 mph means that if the start button is being pushed just two-tenths of a second too early or late when passing the buoy, you will end up with an off range of over 20 feet in distance between the gate and one ball in between sets.

We often use a start buoy during photo shoots to have a sense of where the splash will end up in relation to the camera guy and it is nearly impossible to sync by hand.

Just like @braindamage said, there is a learning curve to the zero ball, but after a few sets you will have it figured out ?

@DFWskier The total height needed for the OffCourse™ measured from the top of the window header is 17" with the standard magazines. The same goes for the Z-Magazines although they are much easier to refill if the bimini is mounted low.

@DHski The OffCourse™ operates via its own GPS, measuring speed over ground to calculate the distance between markings that are always triggered with a 134,5 feet distance in default mode. So, just as @BraceMaker points out it will not be off by distance but by feel if used in current just like a fixed course would be.

The neat thing with the OffCourse is that you actually can use it in a current where it is not even possible to throw in a regular, portable course. ;)

We have one OffCourse™ that has been slightly used during a firmware tests, it looks good and all moving parts have been inspected and/or refurbished.

The Rodics Innovation tractor had a rough summer, spending most of its time in the lake without a cover. The result is a lot of black mildew stains on the upholstery and a green-ish carpet.

What cleaning agents do you guys recommend to get rid of this?

Since our old videos were shot mostly on glass I get a lot of questions about the visibility of the splash in other conditions. We just released a new video that was shot when it wasn't dead calm, maybe it answers some questions. Enjoy!

@xraydoc I’m stoked to see that you are enjoying your OffCourse™ and that you find the B and C settings useful. And since you have these hoppers, I assume that you also use the INFINITY mode quite a bit! ? FYI: We have tried most hoppers on the market and discovered that since they are designed to be shaken when running around in the woods they tend to jam on occasion once used on the OffCourse™. I hope the ones you bought will work well but if you are having issues down the line you should check out our Z-magazines.

@skennedy The Nelson Paint Company in Michigan is now carrying the convenient “OffCourse™ Projectile Package” on their website! After a thorough examination, we have concluded that the Nelsons Clear/Clear ball is by far the best ones for the OffCourse™, not only from an environmental standpoint but they also work great with our markers. Therefore, we highly recommendthat you use these balls with your OffCourse™ from here on out. You'll find them here.

@LLLCCC We do not recommend any modifications of the OffCourse™.

However, larger gas canisters are on our wishlist so we might look into that down the line.

@Garn The markers are panned forward when the OffCourse™ in operation mode so normally there is no problem with a tower. Send me a picture and I can tell for sure if it is going to work or not :)

@UWSkier Yes, 1-3-5 would be more narrow. You don't want to set the width with a 200 lbs spotter that then leaves the boat. Ï don't have any numbers on how much difference that would make since it would differ depending on the boat.

We always use sandbags to keep the boat leveled even when not using the OffCouse™. It does not have to be leveled since both sides are individually adjustable but I would say it is easier/faster to keep the boat leveled than to tune the angle on the markers. Or maybe it is a matter of taste :)
