Hey Horton. Sorry to hear about new injury! Reviewed this thread for first time in few years. I still use the power vest pretty much daily and still huge fan. Little to add to my earlier posts in this thread from years ago. The vest bypasses the elbow so effectively that I am not surprised to hear that it is allowing you to ski with elbow injury. Seeing ortho is good idea (I'm an orthopod) if symptoms persistent. Straps that slide with no friction are essential (if nothing else - squirt a couple drops of soap down strap sleeves before use) and vest modifications can help with that. Strong carabiner clip for connection to one glove D ring makes for big improvement re ease of use. For anyone trying vest for first time: again - please do not "go for it" with straps that are too short! Takes a few sets to adjust - but I see no downside to anything other than ego. The folks at Goode have been great in supporting the vest. It is kinda expensive, but compared with other waterskiing expenses and given that it can protect your bod, allow much more ski time per set - and allow many to continue skiing when without if we couldn't - I think it remains a steal. I have lots of experience with the vest - so anyone welcome to email me if I can help with a question.

Greetings, I’m planning a trip in March down to Sarasota Florida. Anyone know of any public or private slalom courses near Lakewood Ranch? We’re looking at getting a place in Lakewood Ranch and just curious on where the nearest skiing would be available if we were to live down there. Thanks!

I have the black 6.0 reflex front boot

My shoe size is 11 men’s and I’m on a size 8 reflex shell with a 8-9 intuition liner. I tried the 10-11 liner but it was too big to fit in the shell.

A few years ago I went to a ski weekend with Terry Winter in Northern California. It was my first one and I was just getting comfortable on the course 32-34/15. A lot of the other skiers were way more advanced and Matthew is giving some pointers along with Terry. Matthew was there and he just took an interest in me and made me feel just as important as somebody working on getting to 41 off. We ended up talking quite a bit and I had asked him about if he was skiing. He mentioned no and told me he was fighting cancer. I was a bit blown away because he had such an easy calm spirit and was out there with just a quiet joy while he was helping others. I’ve thought of him a lot over the last couple years even though we just had that one interaction. So sorry to hear about him passing. He really impressed me as a wonderful person. RIP Matthew.

I can’t find the search feature in the forum anymore. The little magnifying glass. It was a great feature to be able to sift through and hit the topics that you’re looking for. Is it there or am I just missing it?

We are up here in the Northwest and looking for a place warm to ski as winter approaches. Are there any places you can just pay by the set or day to ski? Not really looking for coaching, just want to have a ski weekend in the sunshine.

Looks like medial epicondylitis. Had it also and had PRP injection which healed to heal the tendinosis. Highly recommend from a Regenexx.com provider.

Hi, Sailworks, I was looking for your modifications to the power vest but the link didn’t work. Any chance you could email that to me? My email is chiropete@comcast.net. Appreciate it if you can, very helpful.
