  1. Hi everyone,

I am a college student who is home and I have been doing a lot of freeskiing along with some course skiing when I have the chance. I have a 1999 RLX that we drive by hand and I am now looking for a perfect pass system. I am wondering which one I should get while still keeping the cost down. I know that the StarGazer system is a lot better but right now (unless I somehow find a used Stargazer system) I think I would probably end up buying a used Classic PP system. The question is would it be cheaper to just buy StarGazer now rather then getting Classic and then upgrading to Stargazer 2 to 3 years down the road. I want to ski the course more but it isn't the easiest thing to do right now without speed control. Please let me know what you think and if you have seen any used systems up for sale!

  2. Hi everyone,

Earlier this year I went in 50/50 with my dad and got our first ski boat. The boat has been everything we could have asked for as we go out and enjoy it at the lake at least once a week. The one thing I wish the boat had was perfect pass system so that my dad would have a little bit easier time maintaining a constant speed while driving. My family is new to boating and I am teaching them a lot but would also like the speed control so that we can take the boat through a course. I am looking at options for a perfect pass system. I have found that a brand new system plus tax is going to cost around $1500, which is a bit out of my budget. I was wondering where I should look for a used system that would be quite lower in price. If I were to piece together a complete set what are all the necessary parts that I need to track down? I am in no rush, just want to explore some options.

    Thanks!

  3. Hi everyone,

I am a beginning skier who can run 3.5 at 15 off and 28mph and would like to improve before going back to college. I do not have access to a course but routinely go out to the lakes and ski with family and friends all morning on the weekends. I was wondering what drills or other things I could do to improve my slalom course skills while just free skiing on glassy lake. Thanks for all suggestions!

  4. Hi everyone,

I've been looking for the right boat for a year and have let two boats slip out of my hands. Looking for a ski boat on cheaper side in NorCal preferably that I can take out with family, friends and teammates on college team. Looking to stay at 10k or less and preferably open bow but not a must(I know that not many boats fit my constraints). I was just wondering if people know of any good deals, I constantly look at craigslist, other websites and talk with local mechanics but there are never many boats in my range. Its quite a stretch but I love Prostar 205's and SNOB's post 1993. I am open to looking at other boats as well.

    Thanks for the help!

  5. Hi there,

Have been looking for my first boat as I'm still in college and hope to stay under 10k while going in with a family member. We have been looking for months but recently found a 1994 ski nautique open bow with 530 hours and a very clean hull. There are a few small tears but overall a pretty clean original interior. One of the speedometers are broken with a busted tube that leeks water under the carpet a little bit. Seller is asking for 10k but I am looking to get a little bit off of this number. Hoping to save money to be able to afford perfect pass later on down the road. Is this a reasonably priced boat? Please let me know what you think and any experience with these boats.

    Thanks!
