Sure it's dying.
40 years ago jet skis, wakeboards and wakesurf boards didn't exist. The only real water sport option was skiing. When those others came around they didn't bring in new people to water sports. They stole from the existing water ski base. So you took a niche sport and made it even nichier.
And while access and cost is clearly a problem it sure hasn't slowed down the growth of wakeboarding or wakesurfing where the boat costs are even worse. So while cost is a good reason for why skiing hasn't grown it is not the reason that it has shrunk.
And as Horton said... it's real damn tough to get any good at it. If I suck at golfing I can still go out, play a round, and hit a few good shots. How long does it take a new skier to do even the mini course for the first time?

XL- My kids are both size 12(not particularly wide) and found the standard to be too snug. One of them gets up with rear foot in and the other without. Get the XL

Agree- Winters are long up here. Watching this fun video we made with "the fam" a couple years ago helps get us though. It's old enough that all skis have been replace with Radar Vapors and Senates 🙂

Skied one of these tonight. Friends boat down the road. Didn’t like it at all. Actually 4 of us skied, none liked the wake crossing. Seemed “hard” compared to the Moomba we normally ski. What’s the secret on these? We expected a lot better, hoping the neighbor might be selling soon as she is getting up there in age, and her boat only has 300-ish hours on it. Not trying to hijack your sale, just thought you could provide guidance that might help sell your ‘96 at the same time

2020 I think is the model. Purchased nov 2020. Skied 3 times 2021 and season over dues to injury. Another 12-15 runs this year is all these have been used for. Kept in sealed bag so they did not dry out, and I always pull them on with thumb and forefinger pulling on the palm area of the glove past the velcro

Other glove is perfect, no sign of stress or tearing there. Only this glove like the fabric is thinner than the other glove

After years of support and use of Radar skis, bindings, ropes, gloves, etc. I have now been disappointed and let down by a quality and more particularly a customer support issue. Bought the Vapor-K Boa gloves and used them for 20-ish sessions. I only ski about 10-15 minutes per session. One of the gloves has torn at the wrist. Contacted Redshift about possible warranty; they seemed pretty positive and willing to help
about a possible remedy with Radar. Heard back today that Radar denied any coverage or replacement. Seems to me that a $100 glove should hold up better and last more than 15-20 uses.

Went from a '18 Graphite to '19 Pro last year. LOVE IT! As others have said, I would start with a gently used Graphite if I was doing it again

Too many words, too few pics, and no vids?(unless I missed it scrolling through all the words)

h20nhk- I could not agree more with your comment. :)

Mooring whips are your answer along with BAB(Big Ass Balls) between the boat and dock

Evolution Covers does the best work I have seen for non-OEM covers. Corey is the owner. Probably has a template already for this

Through-bolt the mounting plates for the whips and reinforce the backside with plates or wood also attached to the rails to spread out the pressure. I did that to mount to my wood dock that has removable decking tops. Worked great! I bought a lift last year so my set used 1 year is available for purchase. https://amazon.com/gp/product/B078SBXHZ9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Some eye candy there I am sure, but the stereo system and speakers is ridiculous and stupid if even real

I agree with $2.5k being an expensive experiment without any user reviews or videos. Still hoping to get some and have the chance to purchase. It's a bummer for Erik because I know he has a lot of time and $ into this, and needs to make something. For $1500 I would probably buy it today and hope it works like his couple videos say it does.

We love out Radar skis, and have seen AWESOME customers service from Brooks here and what funnels through our ski shop. Sorry to hear you got a bad ski

Watching this unboxing was like watching 30 clowns get out of a little car! :) Awesome score on lots of nice stuff. Both of my sons wear Follow vests. They make really nice stuff.

Vector rear did not fit the holes on my Senate Pro build that I bought last fall. same with RTP on my kid's Vapor Lithium. Seems Radar hole patterns are not standard

Cory at Evolution Covers would be my first and last call. Excellent stuff there, and they likely have a template from previous work.
