  1. I am changing from an old Vector binding to the new Vapor boot.  Due to the different shape of the plate, I can't get my RTP as close to the back of the new boot as it used to be.  With the front boot in the stock location, the RTP is maybe 3/8" further back.

I gather that the most important thing is front boot location.  How important is the reltaive position of the toe loop?  I could probably take out the dremmel and modify the plate to get it closer, but I'd rather not.

    Thanks.

  2. In my quest to become the best boat driver I can be, I’m wondering if there is video out there if top boat drivers from their perspective? I’m curious to compare their inputs to what I feel I am doing. I haven’t been able find this in my searches.

    Thanks.

  3. I'm roughly where you are; congrats on getting there in 10 months! I agree with those who say that the geometry is totally different at 22 off; I think I'm making enough speed into centerline but the feel and timing is so different. I think that's where my practice efforts need to be focused going forward; I may throw out 15 off for the rest of the season . Keep at it, best of luck to you!
  4. For us, the tube is a gateway to skiing. It's the first thing my son was comfortable enough getting on behind the boat. A year later he is on the ski trainer and he tried combo skis on the boom for the first time. That didn't go so well, but we're taking baby steps in the right direction. I just want to encourage the kids to enjoy their time on the water and try new things.
  5. Hi folks,

Hoping some of you can can help me understand the timing of my setup for the gates. For a skier at 15 off, as the boat speed increases (in this case lets say from 30 to 32mph) should my pull out for the gates be earlier or later? Since the pull out sets your timing for the turn in, is that turn towards the gates happening earlier or later?

I'm going in circles about this because the faster boat speed would make me think you pull out earlier, but you carry more speed across the course, so maybe it's later. Or maybe that all evens out and you turn at the same time?

    Thanks ballers!

  6. The NY boat show had big booths from Nautique, Mastercraft and Malibu. We spent a bunch of time on the the Ski Nautique and 210. The folks there were great, they let the kids use VR goggles that made it look like they were out on the water. Great to see the new SN in person, even in my least favorite color scheme.
