  1. Hey friends- I have to have a reverse shoulder replacement. According to surgeons, water skiing is not something you should do after this surgery. I'm wondering if any of you have had this done and were you still able to ski? I would be ok with open water skiing if that is all I can do.Any info is much appreciated. Thanks!

  2. Hey fellas-I am looking into making a move to East Tennessee. I'm interested in a 55+ community that is on a lake. It seems there are a few of them. Anyone have any knowledge of these? Any recommendations? Any info and input are appreciated!

  3. I am an older, open water skier just starting to ski the course. I have always had wileys bindings. Years ago, I hade an OTF fall, back foot came out, front foot stayed in. It broke my foot. Since, my thinking has been I want both feet to come out. I'm not to the level of skier (nor do I have the money) to invest in releasable bindings. My question is: Am I better off stating with the rubber bindings, or switching to something different?

    Any input is appreciated.

  4. Hey guys- looking for suggestions on skis that would possibly be a good fit for me. I am an intermediate skier. I am 5-10, 150 lbs, 67 yo. Have always skied open water, but am starting to learn the course. I'm guessing I probably need to move on from my 1999 Kidder Redline! At this time I am @ 15 off @ 32mph. I will look for a used ski due to budget. Any info/suggestions would be appreciated.
  5. Hey- I am looking for some info. on Ski lakes near The DFW area. I am interested in open water skiing on a decent lake. I would also like to find out if there are any private membership lakes. Any info. would be appreciated!

    Thanks.

  6. We have all shared the frustration- getting out on the water(even very early) trying to get a couple decent runs in and fighting the boat traffic. Besides our fellow skiers, we have the wakeboarders, wake surfers and tubers. With that in mind, what are the best public lakes to ski on in the USA? Shout out your favorites(if you have any)
  7. This is kind of random. I am looking to buy a lakefront home on a nice public ski lake.

I am open on location other than the northeast. My price range is under $500,000. I don't need a big house, and will also look at secondary waterfront, as long as it has good lake access.

I know this is a wide open question, but I thought I'd just throw it out there.

    Thanks!
