  1. I'm not nearly the skier most of the guys and girls on this forum are!! But I, like your wife really enjoy open sking and just laying the biggest turns and sprays I can at high rate of speed! I do ski the balls and love it! but try not to get completely caught up in it, because I have wife and kids that board and ski so we make it a family activity. But back to your wifes ski. Id been riding a double high wrap 1994 kidder redline comp that was top of the line at the time. I been riding it since I was 14, just because I had so much confidence in it I never gave anything else a chance! But I got a new radar last fall with double binding set up. And holy crap! After a few days to get used to the speed and handling in has, I was sking like I was 21 again with half the effort!!! Get her a new ski! The new technology is unbelievable!!
  2. Our lake tawed out thursday! Going to be 65 here in Kansas Tue! I got the ol outboard ready for a rip, with a little luck! I don't want to get my prostar out yet, and have to rewinterze it. I can blow my 200 out on the dock and call it good! Fingers crossed I'll get my first set in for the year the with my off course set uo! "Lay some spray ballers!"
  3. Thanks guys! And yes A_B, I am defiantly extending this trip for a extra week to get back to the middle of the state, where they don't look at you cross eyed when you ask about a ski pit! I just took the kids down here to the beach to get out of Kansas for a bit. Not nesicery a ski trip, but I brought my stick, hopeing to find a tug somewhere along the way. If anybody has a line on a boat and driver, hit me up! Thanks Ipskier, I'll try and get ahold of jody.
  4. Your probably going to wash on the money either way. But if you love the way the boat skies, and you know everthing about the boat, that's hard to put a price on that! I think I would fix it and have it ready to ski by March of it was me. I sold a 86 supra when I was a kid, to get the "bigger better ski boat".. I often look back and wish I still had it for a second biat. Don't sell the boat!.
  5. They are small and super low in the water for big lakes. Im on a private ski pit. Perfect boat for that! I riding a prostar 205 rite now, but I not going to lie! I would love to have that ol comp back!! It was a sweet ride! Handle the course like a champ!!
  6. Wind blew like crazy here in Kansas today. I got the wet suits and coolers ready for hot water ready for tomorrow. The wind is supposed to lay and hit mid 60°s tomorrow afternoon. I just hope my driver comes through! Funny how all you ski buddy's quit showing up when the time and weather change!! Lmao!! I have a 13 yro son that can drive in a pinch. But our lake is super short and tuff driving. Ball 6 and then your ass better be turning the boat! Dam coming quick!!!
  7. I love the early 90's short line comp! I grew up sking one! Nice ride! You should have no trouble finding your bow light on the internet. As far as your seats go, I would take them to your local upholstrie shop or speed shop that builds cars. They will have a good upholstrie guy that will make them look new. That's what I've always done with the boats I've built.
