  1. He swerved to avoid hitting the ramp while attempting an S turn in the slalom course at 9.75. I don't see how people are saying it wasn't in the way.  He stopped mid S turn to avoid it.

Whether he was getting back to the guides seems trivial.  However, knowing Nate's ability and awareness at that length (better than anybody probably on planet Earth), I'm guessing he would've made it.

I don't take away any of the effort, time, and energy the Travers crew (& twbc) has done to make this event what it was (which was awesome).

Nonetheless, if somebody ever does hit a jump while in the slalom course at any event, I bet Horton's annual salary that the jump gets moved prior to the next event at that ski site.

  2. This might be the first time I've heard that skiing has helped somebody's back pain.  What is your secret.😅  I wish that was the case for me.

Usually mid season my back issue start to flair up a little bit, but hopefully stays manageable through the rest of the season.

Hopefully you'll get some good pointers to help with getting up and can keep at it!  Not too many things worse than being down with back issues...

  3. Bummer to hear that.  I've had great customer service with HO in the past.  Hopefully they get their demo program up to par.

I've used the demo program through D3 a couple times and usually have the skis within a week or two.

Stock is a solid place to start for sure. Speaking to a few people who have been trying it, it might be worth giving bindings back fin back & shallower a go. Up to half an inch back with bindings and 30-50 thousand back and maybe 5-10 thousand shallower with fin. I’ve gone in that direction and really felt the ski light up

It's always sketchy taking advice from a ballofspray newbie.

But.....I'm gonna go with my instincts on this one, and say I'd probably take his word for it 🙂

  5. If Freddie would've come out and on this forum or any other, and said he was wronged, I'd believe him and pick the first poll option all day long  (maybe he did somewhere and I missed it).

Freddie is one of my favorite skiers to watch.  He's great in the commentator booth, and an awesome rep for the sport.  I love his passion, and genuinely seems like a great guy.

Like some have said earlier.  Maybe Freddie just wants this all to disappear because he's not happy with how he handled it.  I have no clue.

I'm still a fan regardless of what happened, and he will definitely be missed at this years Masters.

  6. I saw weeds coming up in the spray of numerous skiers this weekend. I also noticed Regina subtly made mention of weeds being an issue on her final pass.

Do you think this was an issue for several skiers, or isolated situations?

It's unfortunate if that truly was an issue on her pass....

I feel like people would've been critical if skiers would've requested a re-ride but could they have?

  7. @APB I watched the boat video in slow motion and couldn't see the birds in any of the frames. I'm guessing the shore video made them look closer than what they really were.

Nonetheless, awesome skiing by Will Asher this weekend!!

  8. There has never been a time easier in life to communicate promptly to resolve issues or clarify problems. The world is operating on 5G, with technology at our fingertips. Computers, laptops, phones, watches, etc.

Supply issues are completely understandable. Lack of communication is unacceptable.
