  1. Do they fit like the Radar boots or like typical rubber bindings?  Do you feet get cramped wearing them for extended sets.  The thing I like about the radar boots is that they never cramp my feet.  I noticed that the Ho boots do not have a thermal liner.  Does the material in the boots conform to your feet like a liner or does it retain its shape and form.  you said that it felt better after a few sets.  thanks
  2. Skibug,

you may be right about starting edge change sooner on healside2,4,6.

     Horton,

What I mean is when going to (toeside)1,3,5 I am now trying to rotate my shoulders and handle toward boat(pylon) which I assume means "staying open to the boat" before I release the handle with outside hand.  This does seem to cast the ski out more but turns quicker.  And I have less upper body movement.   Before I have always stopped the rotation or swing and tried to counter rotate away from boat. This would cause me to drop head and shoulders to finish the turn.

  3. Seth Sisher described slalom skiing as swinging from right to left.  Chet Raley has even talked about golf swing with water skiing.  I have been toying  with rotating shoulders toward boat on offside(toe side turn) just like swinging golf club except limiting the release of handle to chest level while leaving outside armpit closed.  It seems to work for me on offside but has created a problem on onside(heal side turn) with slack in rope and skiing over handle.  Anyone have an opinion on this.

     Thanks

  4. Eric,

Why would you pivot right front binding left?  Wouldn't it be better to pivot binding Right in order to get more angle.  Confused

  5. I usually get 8-9months out of the ski.  I am 200lbs and wear my ski out in 8-9 months and my handle in 1 month.  I broke 5 handle last year.  My daughters on the other hand are on their 3rd season on their ski.  I think that skier weight greatly influences the breakdown of the skis.  My daughters are 70-80 lbs and will out grow the ski before it wears out.
  6. What is up with the bindings that Rossi and Finalsin are wearing with their new white MPD.  Have they changed the RS-1 Boots also?  Anyone know what has changed from ther old ski and boots they were marketing at Nationals
  7. I just started skiing 38off this year and the two things that I must have at 38 as opposed to 35 off are edge change and gates.  You have to think edge change after the 2nd wake while holding out bound direction.  that was the key that helped me.  At the gate you need to have the ski under rope and handle at navel or lower.  Those are the two things that I concentrate on.  Also remember that only the ski has to get around the buoy not your whole body.  I try to hit one ball below my knees(backslide buoys).

Unfortunately everyone has different issues.  These are some things that I think about that help me.
