  1. I have that job coming up this spring. Mine is at 859 hours so it's overdue. On a good note, the steering only started getting "notchy" last year.

Along with the others, I agree that a new cable should rectify your issues.

  2. I've had mine for a couple of years now and love it. I wear it in the course and free skiing.

Deep water starts took a little while to get down, but it's an adjustment, not a major technique change. As others stated, "let the vest do the work".

I have the straps adjusted so only at full arm reach do they just engage. I find this works as it allows me to use mostly my arms to get up, but once I'm skiing, the vest does a lot of the work.

As a chronic lower back pain sufferer, I applaud Dave on this design. And, I should add, great support from them. One of my gloves broke last season, at the d-ring, and I received a new pair over-nite. Good people, great product, IMHO.

  3. More than ever.

At least four sets on the weekends and once, twice a week, free skiing about 12 miles around the lake after work.

The best of those mid week sets was meeting up with my buddy, waiting, watching for the traffic to die after dinner and having glass to ourselves.

We always followed it up with a light dinner, some drinks and a toast to appreciating how lucky we are.

  4. I learned:

Losing 30+ pounds made a huge difference in my athleticism, feel on the water

    Pilates, Yeah, Amazing workout.

Leave the fin alone. Moved my bindings forward, made all the difference in getting my ski to turn

Ski at tournaments. Even if you suck (I do) you'll be amazed at your improvement. And the people are great.

Skiing with Seth Stisher did more in one day to correct my terrible offside than 10 years of everyone else telling me what to do.

    Goode Power Vest. Underrated technology

Most of all, I wanna do this til I croak, YO!

  5. Saturday night, late.

Spent the day removing all the ski club member's docks, lifts. Around 6pm, the wind died down and four of us, on a buddy's porch, watching the sun get low, tired, drinks in hand, all looked at each other and said, "screw it, we gotta go one last time".

The water was maybe 59F, but with the extra shots of Maracme tequila, we didn't even slip on our wetsuits.

It was probably the most "fun" skiing of a GREAT year of skiing, running way past dark........:)
