  1. @jercrane - yeah ive used it for 3+ years never had an issue (until now) I use 3 strips 3 inches long at the top and the same at the bottom of the plate. The stuff is so strong I tore my rotator cuff trying to prize it away. now ive learnt that you need to get a hair dryer on it , super heat it and it separates cleanly. I swap it out every 2 years only when I switch/replace skis. believe the product code is 4991 - be careful as theres a really narrow one and a standard one.

@lpskier - I currently use the connelly/stealth approved plate, issue being is the release mounts are in-front of the screw holes, a big crash would snap the plate like a twig as its super thin a designed to be taped.

Ive got a Radar pro build, had two of them before and never had this issue - for some reason this ones slightly convex... using the connelly/fogman version with the adaptor plate. Ironically of the Three pro builds ive had this is by the far the best one (other than this annoying issue).

  2. Hi Team!

Slight issue, I use 3M VHB (very high bond) tape to connect my plate to the ski. The sort of tape you'll find on Gopro mounts. Very strong, Never had an issue with it. However my new ski seems to have a slight concave on the top deck, and if I lay tape in the middle of the plate and down the sides (as normal), the tape down middle causes a pivot point - meaning that the left or right lefts/peals away...

Anyone had this issue or suggestions to safely tape the plate ?

I was considering velcro next ??

    (I use fogamans)

please excuse my poor 3D graphic drawings.... :D :D

  3. @anyone, I actually work for a AR/Software company, has anyone got these guys contact details? I may or may not be able to help...

Ive gone via the website however its a little limited in terms of direct contact details/email

  4. @mbrann - having used Stealths for a few years now I strongly advise you use the carbon tongue. on two occasions they have saved me going to the hospital to the extend I sheered the carbon lower into two pieces yet managed to walk away unhurt.
  5. Spent many summers with him at Princes, amazingly good skier. I skied with him the night it happened, Think it was just before the pro-am. Came back to the club the next day to hear what happened. Feels like yesterday. Its an event that will never leave me, but unquestionably the bravest person I know. Straight up hero!.

Aidan is one of the coolest dudes around, has a wealth of knowledge and would be a massive asset to any company. what happened was tragic but doesn't take away from the fact that in his day he was good for a piece of 10.7 - epically good skier, hard working and very analytical about it. If I know him he'll push to get back to that level, he's doesn't understand the concept of 'give up'.

He's unlikely to know but within the UK, he has a massive following of friends and family that still talk about him (even though he left the UK many years ago) see him as an inspiration. he helped allot of people, He's just such a humble dude. He's unlikely to ever know that he was the reason that I got back into skiing after breaking my ankle for the 2nd time, so thanks mate. Not many people I look up to and seriously respect, Aiden is right there for me.

Little known fact; Aidan is phenomenal at beatboxing! (seriously, ask him to do it)

nothing but love - Mate, I hope life treating you well. Jay.

  6. @JJR - having briefly looked at them, shouldn't be an issue, my only concern being is if the plastic on the soul is thinner than the carbon you might have the file the screw down. you can't really build it up with washers otherwise the soul will be lumpy, i personally put a skateboard trainer (sneaker) liner in the boats, kind of work as orthotics and they are comfy.

in theory you can use anything, Reflex, powershells, diablos or even FM's. worse case you might have to drill a couple of holes.

the most cost affective way is actually to buy them direct, USD throne classic is the boot, then purchase some snow ski buckles simple screws on, got yourself some "custom" binders!

  7. @Chef23

I can appreciate they are not for the faint of heart, they look pretty daunting..

however when you've busted your ankle as many times as me from 1 in 1 out falls these are a

    god send!

I've had them long enough that my gloves take more time to put on than the boots..I do have mine cantered simple washer under the ball of the foot and inside of the heel. correct the mechanisms are still branded fogman. If i burn through my bindings+spares and i can't get them anymore, i'll likey get some powershells or reflex's and screw them to the fogman setup.

  8. @Ajskier - an adaptor plate meaning you can use to attach to any ski. simple screw on plate, however you will need to use the 3 strips of 3M VHB tape to reinforce at each end. I have two plates, so I can test out other skis as and when. I go easy on them as I don't tape down the plate until I know the skis good for me.

Without these bindings I would never have got back on the water, great boot!

i'll purchase any RFF size 10's

  9. I'm there in October/November - looking at skiing between Myuna Ski club (newcastle), Stoney Park however someone suggested (as I'm staying in Sydney), Sydney waterski Club - anyone know this place? if anyone is around these places feel free to PM for a ski/Beer
  10. maybe I should switch to D3, UK customer service sucks. 2 weeks I had a broken binding, gave up bought one via H2o managed to buy 2 pairs, plus shipping, plus tax and it came to less than my original purchase and it was 2 days!!!! Bought a few pieces from them and they are always on point!
  11. @Chef23 thanks however it's suspected to be a prototype. I've got the Razor 2B (standard flex) which I do like but needs tweaking.

However I've also got the Razor 3 in the A &B flex. The only thing that's changed is the rocker.... Anyone shed any light on this? @Horton did you get to try another version? got any info on these skis??
