  1. Splashed off a Mastercraft hull. Built in Contra Costa, CA by Rod Redford for several years. I was the factory promo boat in 1977. I might still have original brochures, but will take some digging to find
  2. I'm a long time AWSA member, have skied many different formats and have also skied one INT tournament. Can't really say that any of them felt different. Most tournament don't have enough skiers per division already and all you're doing is competing with yourself and getting a score for the Rankings List. I actually had more interest in attending Reg/Nationals when we had to get 2 EP Ratings and didn't know where you were seeded until you showed up and saw the starting list.

In this new era of shorter attention spans and busier schedules is more skiers the objective? If we add more rounds to Reg/Nationals, results should normalize and end up just where I was ranked on the list to begin with.

I do agree with @klindy I'm not sure what problem this is trying to solve.

  3. Following the earlier Reflex boot thread, I am curious about what other rear boot set ups people are using with a front Vapor or Strada.

I have been using double RS-1 on the Sequence plate for years and was about to upgrade to the new Vapors. I run my rear boot very loose and was considering maybe going to the Vector or HRT

  4. Just spent 1/2 hr reading through the other threads about D1/D2 Nationals, Big Dawg rule changes, and how to make tournaments more fun...Who care if he only skis 1 tournament?

If the guy wants to travel from AK to WA and ski Regionals why would you not want him there?

If he's good enough to place or win then more power to him. Numbers are declining at all level of tournaments without putting up more barriers to participation.

  5. Just moved from a private lake in WA where tubes out number skiers, wakeboarders, and barefooters combined. Lake sat empty a majority of the time.

I sold to be closer to grandkids and downsize in retirement, but over the 14 yrs I lived there watched the # of course & tournament skiers decline every year. Saw it change from waiting to get a set to become not being able to find a driver.

Access wasn't an issue, but more recent owners seemed more interested in living in a gated community then being on a ski lake.
