  1. I love the PTM...best mirror ever. Since a lot of the time there are only 2 of us, skier and driver, when I drive I am focused on the course, however with the PTM I am also seeing the skier, I guess peripherally would be the best way to describe it. and that peripheral view is much wider with the PTM.

  2. I wish I has more equipment to give, but we gave Jodi everything we had last summer. I think Jodi gave me an address to send cash donations, but I can't find it. Does anyone have that address? I know they were working on getting not for profit status so donations could be tax deductible. I think they would get a lot more in monetary donations if it were tax deductible.
  3. Ski must be facing the port side on the platform. If someone puts it on the platform for me and it's the wrong way, I have to turn it around. Back foot in first then front. In the water the boat has to be at a complete stop. If in boat is in gear I tell the driver I'm not ready (everyone then assumes I am "warming the wetsuit"), then 2 commands : in gear and okey dokey.

Boy am I glad I don't have to adjust all the stuff you guys adjust! The vest covers anything that might escape!!

  5. I rode a 66" HO Espirit and a KD3000 for quite a few years when I first started. Both were marketed as a woman's ski, although 10 years ago I think that just meant "pink it and shrink it". I think that has changed, and a woman's ski is designed be more forgiving for the smaller and lighter skier today. I think @gsm peter has some very valid points.
  6. kld11053-

yes, the kd was the only ski i tried. I have only skied on HOs in the past and was skiing on a System 8. I usually ski at 30 mph at home because the wake is much better at that speed on our boat, but Seth slowed me down to 28, and I did fine, so don't think of the x7 as just a ski for faster speeds. If you are looking for a new ski, Seth does a "try before you buy" program. I haven't used it but if you go to his website sethstisher.com, you can get the details. If you want a used ski, go to ski-it-again.com

  7. I am pretty much in the same place as you. I went to see Seth Stisher for a week (which I highly recommend), and he put me on a D3 X7, which was great. I've never skied the X3, so I can't comment on Hortons other suggestion, but I completely agree with him about the X7. Question for the manufacturers (and note to Horton): why do you all think all women love pink? Over the age of 12 most of us are up for colors other than candy pink! I'd really like to find a womans vest that didn't have any pink on it.
