  1. Well son wouldnt ask you to do anything I havent done 100 times I suppose cleaning the outhouse is out of the question ? It sucks but somebody has to do it. Life as a lake owner isnt very glamorous.its alot of work Ski club members got it made.im done venting see ya in spring
  2. Hey fella I need some one to manicure my island if your not afraid I got pretty nice site about 80miles from bozo we could trade out ski rides or bring ipa that works to but I would rather you do my island .I understand the liability issue at ottertail.but I also no it would suck to have a lake and nobody to ski with.that would slowy drive cookoo were in the guide call if you want
  3. Here's my two cents worth as a grader operator first of all how big is the shelf your trying to remove and what kind of material is it rocky sand clay if you use a grader the blade shifts out farther on the right side of machine is the ground on the berm hard not soft you can make several passes to get desired dept then what are you going to do with youberm you will have left over you can use a front end loader with a smooth bucket no teeth and hopefully a automatic bucket leveler that works this can make clean up with breeze and leave your top soil you will probably also

need single Axel dump truck lot easier to get around. There's always the chance when pulling material you can suck the grader in possible burying the grader that's a big no no this isn't the job for the weekend warrior. Or use a mini excavator with 36" smooth bucket and top load into dump truck.your probably safer and handling the material once the mini will be a lot more user friendly. You should be able to rent mini and possibly a dump trailer it might take awhile but you have to do it good luck hope this was helpful. dougski

  4. No wish didn't test drive. I'm in Montana had a buddy who was in the area bring it home. Had it winterized and shrink wrapped at galleys marine.the mechanic noted on repair order gauges working intermittently.also had stefe check the boat out and said it was a cream puff.I thought with 192 hrs.I would be safe.I might add Greg who brought the boat to mt taped off the trailer.and the boat showed up perfect.Iwill be spraying his weeds on his lake lot this summer.thanks again greg

  5. When I dyed my lake I used the real fine powder. I used plastic gloves used for preg testing cattle. They go all the way past your elbows.than used a long lattel and scooped out of 35gal barrel.than and filled burlap sand bags tied ends used old ski handles hooked them to my aluminum boats oar locks and idled around lake worked good with the fine powder. What a pain in the ass. Oh ya better wear respirator or you be blowing boogers for awhile I'm calling keith! I want some yellow 5 good bang for the bucks and bigger granules.

  6. Have ya ever heard of a yarder? they use  em for mining or logging will make short order of this matter . you'll have to remove your slalom course,It has a dragline bucket on it with two dozers one on each side one has pulley on it the other has spool a cable runs between with bucket attached.Let out slack bucket drags bottom pull material to ya spool side then tighten cable and send back to pulley side dig to grade and slowly move dozers down the berm.probably take couple weeks. you'll also need a support loader to haul off all the material.sounds like you guys got some serious cutting to do three to four feet.Going to cost some dough sounds like your lucky no one hasn't gone out front a broke a neck.Or you can use the vacuum cleaner idea.
