Neither Indmar nor Ilmor rate the horsepower of their engines publicly. They give the dyno data to the boat manufacturer and they market the engine at the horsepower that they want within a range of +/- 10%.

This was verified by an Indmar emplyee that posts on the Mastercraft teamtalk site.

Wow, looking that video there seems to be virually zero tip rise coming out of the turn! Looks like it hooks up very smoothly coming out of the turn.

 Of course, it could be the skier...but that looks interesting.

One point...skiers just learning the course often have skis that are set-up reall poorly.Maybe this is due to buying used skis, demo models etc. Maybe it's due to tweaking until far removed from factory settings; or,  because new course skiers get a lot of free advice on set up.

One of the first things to do is to get a qualified person (ie good instructor) to watch you ski and set up the ski correctly...then leave it alone.

 A poorly set up ski can hinder progress immensely.

Okay...first let me declare: I am not a software engineer, and I am only a decent(for an old guy that doesn't train) course skier...that beig said, it seems to me that what is most important is where/when the acelleration hits.

 In the middle of a turn bad, in the pre-turn would be very bad. So we want it to hit somewhere after the turn has been completed to directly behind the boat.

Sooooo, wouldn't an input for rope position allow for a system that would consistently work for a given skier??? Okay, so now somebody needs a position sensor in the pylon....go get 'em guys!

Go with a gift certificate from a store with a demo program...trying out a few sticks could be half of the fun!

I think that you would say that there isn't any one feature that is in and of its' own, "the best",  but overall, she is, ummm, balanced?!

That wake is beginning to resemble the wake on my '93 Prostar....less the spray mine makes at short line.
