  1. Needing a Response LXi on a trailer transported from Orlando to somewhere around Manchester NH. Any vendor recommendations? We put an inquiry into uship but so far no response. Anyone shipped one that far(1400 mi) ? If so what did it cost you ?

    Thanks

  2. The link works for me using Firefox on a Windows box but gives the neighborhood listings using Safari on an IPad. I'm not sure what that's about other than I think I remember something about long links not working in some cases. I can't find it it the Site Info and Instructions so in the meantime it is 3939 Percival Rd 32826
  3. I hate to do it but it's time to downsize. I'm on the east side of Orlando close to the EW expressway, 20 minutes from downtown and the airport. Lake has permitted course on east side and I'm the only one that uses it. Comes with a 2003 Malibu RLXi 335 Monsoon w/z-box.

  4. I have a 2003 RLXi and also have a short setup. I struggled with getting Stargazer set up to work with the short approach but after adding the Z-box(and no further adjustments) it settles right in. We take off and then pull back on the throttle a bit and it's perfect every time. Highly recommend spending the extra dough on the Z-box.
  5. The fairgrounds is orders of magnitude better, parking in the Ivanhoe area would be/is ridiculous. There used to be a 6 buoy course on the east side years ago and the setup was really difficult. Probably better with today's boats but still not good. If it's a 4 buoy at Ivanhoe I'm not going. Same for Eola - that is not a ski lake it's a retention pond. For me, make it a legitimate competition if not RC or I'll stay home.
  6. Based on my experience if you're going to upgrade plan on going with the Zbox. Although I finally got SG to work it was a pain getting the ball timings(gate, 1ball, 3ball) adjusted. After I went to the Zbox it was dead-on from the start. Never tweaked anything - even with a short setup. Make sure you have the latest code level(8.0.5 ?) and don't forget about inverting the tach reading if you have timing issues. That made a huge difference on my '03 Malibu RLxi beginning with SG but I have read/heard it makes a difference on others too.
  7. I have a 2003 Malibu RLxi(Monsoon 335) and it has holes in both exhaust manifolds right at the bend to the engine block - it looks like a weld joint. I've had the boat since new and it's only been in fresh water. I find it strange that both decided to go at about the same time. I had a Malibu Skier for 15 years(Mercruiser) and no such issue and no one I've talked to has heard of this happening. Anyone here had the same issue.Any advice on replacing welcome too.
