  1. Not a ramp but we had a large swim dock that we had issues keeping the geese off of. Tried owls and coyote silhouette but as soon as the figured out they were fake they no longer worked. Google goose away light. Basically an orange strobe light like you see on a construction barrel. Been working for years. Can buy cheaper versions off Amazon. I think dock mooring lights. Solar powered with a photo eye.

  2. Does anyone know details of the whole story? I knew he was just starting to ride his jumpers again based off IG posts but I never knew why he had been off them. Sad to see. I was hoping for him to make a big comeback. Such a nice guy. Wish him the best.
  3. @Martin ran into a similar problem on an 04 196 not long ago. It had a ballast tank in the trunk and the gauge wires came loose and would ground. Boats are a little unique in the fact that ground isn't readily available like on a car. Pretty rare to find a short in a boat harness. Roll the gauge cluster out you may find loose wires on your volt meter.
  4. @lefty the width will essentially be the same from length to length until -35. I think the thing people struggle with is that the visual on where you pull out has to change. As the line shortens you get closer to the boat and thus need to adjust the visual of where you pull out. Note I say the visual as I don't think geographically it changes much if any. So in your scenario you go from -15 to -22 that is 7 feet. So you need to wait 7 feet after you normally would pull out. This way the boat is actually in the same position it would be in if the rope was still at -15 and you were 7 feet behind yourself. Same geographical location but your visual will change. Sorry its easy to conceptualize but hard to explain.

So for me an as example. I use the 55's to know when to pull out. They get closer and closer to the boat as I shorten and once at 35 the right hand ball disappears behind the bow. But from shore it looks extremely similar.

  5. @arturonelson it is fairly easy upgrade. Take an old puck off and drill the hole bigger i usually go around an inch hole if I remember correctly. Plug the new puck in and update software. You will need the ZO ecom cable to do the software. I just ordered a single puck and the software. Expected ship date for the puck is 8/23.....
  6. Every year I feel like a bit of a dick. I am level 8 and I placed top 5 at last years nationals. Every year there is some guy on the bubble hoping someone seeded above him makes a mistake. If you are going to force me to go I am going to ski and that more than likely means he goes home and not to nationals. I have been tempted to get out of the water and just before the 55's throw the handle in the air and yell f$!k yeah I get to go to nationals now. Then I think about how much money I am spending on it and I just ski.
