  1. What Jody said… on mine I was able to actually slide the middle floor panel forward with a slight lifting tug after removing the motor box.

Another way to pop it loose with decent leverage is to leave the motor box attached at the hinges and lift the rear of the box when open before pulling the hinge pins.

  2. It really depends on how far you’d feel comfortable going to ski and get coaching. @mmosley899 and his daughter are both great skiers and can offer practical coaching and general ski advice. Auburn’s former ski coach, Jeff Wiswall, is in Shorter - private lake and quality coaching.
  3. I’ve pulled quite a but of slippery slalom with the collegiate skiers. Most skiers opt for 17 or 19. I’ve pulled Austin Rodgers into 43 a few different times and very regularly deep into 41. Best slippery slalom we had was setup in a head to head format (very similar to Big Dawg) at Trophy Lakes, with a final between Austin Rodgers and Nellie Roberts - both getting into 43 off.
  4. @Fraser waiting (especially that long) will develop all kinds of scar tissue inside the knee. I understand you financially have your hands tied, and that sucks, but do understand that your surgery will be MUCH more invovled to make the repair. I say this as I’m currently in my surgeon’s office for my 6 week post-op evaluation.

Hope you get everything taken care of and back to full speed!

  5. It has been uplifting to stroll through here and read this thread. I tore my ACL, MCL, and meniscus Labor Day weekend. Went the patellar graft route for the ACL reconstruction. The MCL was a repair since it was torn diagonally over the length of it. Surgery was Sep 11, and I’ve stuck strictly to my instructions given by the doctors and PTs. I take each PT session seriously, trying to maximize what I get out of each session.

I do silently apologize to the boat every time I go through the garage, but I also use that as motivation to get back on the water next year. The surgeon seems confident I’ll be riding my skis by April, but I may take a year off from jumping just to build strength in and around my knee and be a two event skier for 2019. I guess I’ll see where I’m at toward the end of spring and make a decision then.

  6. Indeed @MattP ...Mine have all been on Auburn Univeristy tags, so I only had 6 characters to work with. So far, I’ve had:

    SKIFLY

    SKIERR

    SKITYM

    3 EVNT

    M2 STJ

SN 196 (currently now on the boat trailer)

    I SKI (currently on car)

    SKIBUM (currently on truck)

    Others I have personally seen:

    LV2SKI

    H20SKI

    H20SK1

    SKIDADY

    6BALLS

    CUT L8R

    35 SPLT

  7. I had the exact same issue on my 196. In my case, I have a tight-fit waterline cover. I also use 303 after every use. The stains only appeared in areas the cover touched vinyl and after leaving the boat covered for more than 2 days in direct sunlight/heat. Once I discovered the issue, the stains appeared to fade away throughout the next couple of days while using the boat and leaving uncovered (parked in the garage). My solution has been this: I use white bath towels to lay across the back hatches, back seat, gunwale pad, as well as the motor box (essentially anywhere the cover may come into contact with the vinyl) and never park the boat out of the shade while covered. This has seemed to resolve the issue. Going forward, I will continue using the towels, and I will be keeping a small tub of DampRid in the boat in the case it gets covered before fully drying out.

Hopefully your vinyls will go back to normal with enough direct sun exposure and 303.

  8. Good point @LeonL I don't know if we'd know what to do with ourselves if we had over 100 entries to a 3 event tournament that wasn't a regionals/nationals. That'd be one of the greatest awkward feelings to have though.

@LLUSA I hope those are not among the others making up the fascia/cladding on your pavilion?
