I also have 17' PS and the start up beep is really loud. My boat has the same loud beep every time I turn on the key and when I start the boat with the push button. I went into the settings and shut off the shallow water depth alarm, low fuel warning and zero off alarms, but that did not stop it. Not sure if this has anything to do with it, but my boat seems to start hard and I easily loose 3-5 volts during start up. Maybe that is a low voltage alarm?
I guess I get the idiot beep!!

@skibug Just curious. Did the starter stop turning over the engine? I have a 2017 PS with a 6.2 and it really seems to start hard. It usually brings the volts down to around 8-9 volts on the volt gauge when it starts, but it always starts. I have replaced the battery and I have cleaned the cables at both ends (Starter/battery). I am thinking my starter is going bad?

@RAWSki I would love to see your new boat? I ski on Williams lake which is at Williams lk rd and maceday lake rd. I am in the market for a new/used boat this year and the carbon pro is high on my list.

I am also looking for one of these two boats. How about engines for the txi? I have heard that the 6.0 for the Txi skis better, but not sure if it's a weight issue or a firmer/better pull? Is the 6.0 lighter than the 5.7 engine?
