  1. So I booked a last minute trip down to Orlando (couldn't take the lack of skiing in the great white north) but it seems the guys I usually ski with (Matt Rini / Jodi Fisher) are away. Any suggestions of who would be in town still (I seem to have found some availability wed-thur but so far Friday and Saturday are empty)

    thanks,

    Shawn

  2. I know this is a huge long shot but does anyone know any dealers who might have old 41 tails lying around. I absolutely love my XS 2009 41 tails I got last year (Blk/White ones). All of the newer models the palm strap is too short.

@marcusbrown think they have any kicking around at the factory?

  3. Finally came back down to sunny florida from the great white north. Tried the new vest on and was worried about the fit when dry but like others said try it in the lake first. Vest fits and feels amazing and has great buoyancy for a non cga. BTW just checked the ebay store and the 2013 decibels (size small only) are on sale for $36!
  4. Definitely slow the speed down. I used to think you had to start 30 or higher but then slowed down to 28. Just started making it more consistently at 30 mph. The best advice I could give you is relax yourself and let the ski work more. Up until the end of summer I would muscle my way and barely get thru 28 mph. I had and still do have to really focus on changing edges after the second wake. As much as you want to pull out far and long to the ball it has a negative affect.
  5. @chuck_dickey sent you an email from ski-it-again.com regarding the pricing of your boat when its available in the fall. Not sure if you got it or not but want to send me a pm (I know you cannot publicly display price) when you get a chance please.

    thanks,

    Shawn

  6. @Rez from what I saw the rest of the gloves were the same size (finger and palm area). I just found the knuckle strap to be way too tight. I couldn't even get it past the first Velcro patch where the top rubber piece ends in order to fold it over. In order to be able to fold it enough to get the Velcro to attach I would have had to cut the top rubber part of the strap. I would try them on at your local shop if possible.
  7. Thing I don't understand is it was a known complaint about the new style 41 tails having a shorter/tighter knuckle strap so why would HO design a new glove with even shorter strap. I tried both on at Miami ski nautique size XS and the legend is definitely tighter fit. Do they not listen to feedback at all or do the team riders all have super skinny hands?
  8. Miami ski nautique has them in stock as well. Father in law got a pair and he seems to like them. I tried them on but could not get the knuckle strap closed. It seems like they went even smaller with this version then when the changed from the old style 41 tail to the 2012-2013 models. Just doesn't make sense to me why they would design gloves where you cannot even pull the strap past the first piece of Velcro. I wear an xs glove but from what I heard in the store its a common problem with all sizes (fingers fit great but top strap is impossible to close). Luckily for me they found an older white/black model 41 tail in XS that fits perfect.
  9. Ordered a medium last night thinking that was what I had tried on at Miami ski nautique the other day. I checked this morning again since I was in the store and realized I needed a small since they stretch out. Came back home and quickly messaged the seller (Havasuwaterski) and within minutes they responded saying not to worry they were sending a small instead of medium. About 10 minutes after that I received a tracking number and the jacket is already in transit. Amazing service! Thanks @foxriverat for sharing a great deal with fellow ballers.
