  1. I will say there are 3 things that I can take to relieve cramps. Pickle Juice and I have not tried this stuff but just plain ole liquid from a jar of pickles, Mustard, and Hotshot. I don't "suffer" from cramps I get cramps from suffering. Most IM races I used to carry a packet of mustard during the run and that worked but it is slow to act. Had a competitor give some pickle juice out of a flask one race and that worked pretty fast so I carried that for a couple of races but it is kind of pain to carry. Last year I tried a new product "hotshot" and so far it is the best product I have tried.
  2. I just returned form 17 days on Lake Powell with my new Vapor. I am a low mid level skier 51 yrs old and ski 28 -32 off. Came from a very old KD CR7. set the ski up to Rossi Specs and the first 3-5 rides scared the crap out me but after the initial shock of not having to do much to make the ski work and getting used to the speed all I can say is WOW. I am excited to hit the course this weekend and see how it performs in the real world but I have high expectations. The off side and side turns are very similar in ease and performance. The ski is fast from turn through the wakes (scary for me until I got used to it). I can also say I made a good choice with Vapor front boot and HRT rear. I had to make a conscious move in the CR7 to slow it down and apparently would pull a little bit with my rear foot as the first times on the vapor I would be lifting my heal pretty significantly. The vapor does not need this and found myself well planted and secure with the HRT.
  3. @gregy I am interested in your hrt. How much do you want for it? I would need it by next Thursday as I'm heading to lake Powell for two weeks. I have a FedEx account we can use to overnight it.
  4. I know I cant transfer my old boots and I don't want to either. I am not sure if the vapors will be too much of a jump from rubber and freak me out or if the profiles or even vectors are a better choice.
  5. I am ready for the laughter and ridicule, but I am getting a new ski. I am currently on a KD CR7 (yea I know very old). I consistently run 28 off and hit 32 50% of the time. I am 51 so I ski at 34 mph. I am going with the vapor but am not sure on what boots/bindings to get. I am currently on the stock rubber KD bindings. Not sure if I should go with the Vapor, Profile, or even the Vector. I am going to give the HRT a try (currently in double boots) as I think it is a good blend of performance and safety. Looking for opinions on the various model of boots.
  6. Have gone from classic to Stargazer to Zbox. Each time was an improvement. Is it ZO? No but its pretty close and it does not have an impact on my scores when I ride behind a ZO boat. To me it is a solid upgrade from stargazer.
  7. I was a broke recent college graduate with a one year old and a new house. I was on a budget and could not find anything used that I liked so I ordered a 1994 Bimini Skier (single axle trailer and not a dang thing extra on it. About 3 weeks after I ordered the dealer called me and said that the Centurion factory had a boat that a customer had put money down on and had backed out (lost his deposit). I could have the boat for the same price but the trailer was tandem axle and was $500 more. I did not get to pick colors but went ahead with the change. 21 years and over 2600 hours later the old tug is still going strong.

  8. If the barefoot warrior looks like it has seen better days I would be concerned as that boat is a wood stringer boat and they might also have seen better days. I love the pure barefoot boats for barefooting and they actually ski pretty dang good too. The one issue I have is with the outboard you are stuck with two very small platforms off the back and you then are forced to get your ski on in the boat.
  9. I cracked 2 ribs wakeboarding the first week of june on day 2 of a 10 day Powell trip. IT sucked big time I was however able to cinch my vest up tight and gut through getting up on my ski. Once I was up it was not too bad but I did not ski at all aggressive because I did not want to have a hard fall. I can still feel it when I sneeze.
  10. The first pic is my boat LOL. I had the jump seat built and it has storage underneath and it is great. I ski into 35 off and it does not come any where close to the person sitting there. I would think that deeper it might but at age 50 I doubt I will get any better than I am now due to time on the water. It was one of the best things I have done in my boat IMHO. It is one of the first seats picked by my kids (youngest is 15). All the little pieces of gear like gloves extra rope and handles little clips for towels goggles etc. and my chamioux for drying off the boat all reside there.
