Administrators Horton Posted May 10, 2007 Administrators Share Posted May 10, 2007 $1300 for extra buoy? slalomdude Its pretty quiet around here, so time for some BS. If someone could guarantee you an extra buoy on your PB would you drop $1300 on a new latest and greatest ski? From three at x off to four is a big deal. If your best is at four and then one more ball gets you to five you have to be on the verge of getting six and then two at the next pass. yea where do I sign up. (ok I expact to have two new skis in the next month) http://waterskitests.com/2007/photos/sig.jpgEdited by: John Taylor Horton at: 4/16/07 9:25 pmezOPPosts: 10634/15/07 8:50 pm 24.152.144.71Reply | Edit | Del ezSupporterhttp://www.carbonfins.com/photopage/Square.bmpRe: $1300 for extra buoy? tsixam No. I am painfully aware of the fact that it is not the ski that needs to be upgraded. Maybe a new ski could give me 1-2 buoys in the short run, but to ski better in the long run I have to shape up my technique Tsixam MemberPosts: 254/16/07 12:32 am 193.138.74.3Reply | Edit | Del cash skidawg once the basic technique is in place, equipment makes a huge difference. (not only skis, but proper set up) Unregistered User4/16/07 4:35 am 65.0.17.184Reply | Edit | Del Re: cash DW A lot of no answers, but what if you were skiing for $xxxx to win? MemberPosts: 664/16/07 3:36 pm 198.208.251.23Reply | Edit | Del It's only money eleeski $1300 is cheap! For a guarantee. The "no" votes understand that the ski is only a small factor in performance. I've had some pretty good buoy counts on some toxic skis. In fact, the design defect has helped that top score - on the few times I got close enough to try. Some other sweet feeling skis falter at the edges of performance. Sometimes you can spend a lot for a ski that is only good at generating hype. I've spent lots of money chasing dreams. But it's the skier, not the ski. Eric Unregistered User4/17/07 7:24 am 207.200.116.195Reply | Edit | Del MONZA MS It will give you more bouys and it dont cost no 1300. Unregistered User4/17/07 10:05 am 207.250.32.16Reply | Edit | Del monza? skidawg enjoy it while you can, won't be around much longer! Unregistered User4/17/07 10:26 am 65.0.17.184Reply | Edit | Del I have 3 MS It sounds like the new HO is the stuff. I am just starting to test them now. So far I love 2 of the 3 I have tried. Unregistered User4/17/07 10:32 am 207.250.32.16Reply | Edit | Del OOPs MS That sounds like I have new proto type or somthing. I have 3 Monzas. Two 67s, soft and stiff. and a med 66. I have been messing around with both 67s, but I only have one 106 carbon blade. I need some serious dock and test time. Drysuits and skiing out of a boat is tough on fin set up.
