Baller_ Wish Posted June 23, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted June 23, 2011 I dano? Look at MBs face. Kinda has that sarcastic "ya you the man" look. Like he's going to burst out laughing by the time he gets back to the wake.
Baller disland Posted June 23, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 23, 2011 Interesting, different gloves on each hand, Unless there is some photo shop going on?
Baller Chef23 Posted June 23, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 23, 2011 It looks like a clincher on one hand. A guy at my lake skis with a clincher on one hand and a regular glove on another.
Baller Ed_Johnson Posted June 23, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 23, 2011 Marcus has been using one Clincher for years.
bmiller3536
I believe he had a bad hand injury a few years back caused by the clinchers not releasing the handle...
Administrators Horton Posted June 23, 2011 Author Administrators Share Posted June 23, 2011 The thumbs up thing is cool but the really crazy thing about MB is that he is humming Justin Bieber songs while he skis. Baller Kelvin Posted June 23, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 23, 2011 Not sure what caused the injury, but he still wears a clincher on one hand and a normal HO glove on the other.
Baller Dirt Posted June 23, 2011 Baller Share Posted June 23, 2011 I believe he skied over the rope at 6 ball and it pulled his hand into the ski. Cut a couple fingers off or did major damage. He was skiing a RC tournament at Cheyenne Lake many years ago. They medivac him to Loma Linda Hospital and fixed his hand. I could have some of the facts wrong but the above is close. Supporting Member Than_Bogan Posted June 23, 2011 Supporting Member Share Posted June 23, 2011 Hm -- This thread is sarcasm from line one, right? Tons of people hold their off hand like that, and I thought it was Horton trying to be funny*, but now it seems like everyone is taking it seriously so I'm wondering if I'm the fool here? *I mean succeeding at being funny -- please don't ban me! :-)
Baller_ Wish Posted June 23, 2011 Baller_ Share Posted June 23, 2011 Heard the same thing that hand injury caused weakness in that hand. Heard it from the folks that made Clinchers yrs ago.
Administrators Horton Posted June 23, 2011 Author Administrators Share Posted June 23, 2011 MB had a loop of the rope crush his hand to the handle and then smashed by the ski in the 90s. He was lucky to not lose his fingers. My dad (M.D.) was on site and called in a helicopter to get him to the hospital. Administrators Horton Posted July 1, 2011 Author Administrators Share Posted July 1, 2011 I can't bring myself to look at that photo.... Bad! On the bright side we again have proof that MB is a secret Baller. Baller Boody Posted July 1, 2011 Baller Share Posted July 1, 2011 Hate to answer for Marcus, but he told me about it years ago. Like Dsmart said, he skied over the rope, the rope came tight and pulled his hand into the ski, trapping his fingers between the ski and handle.
