Baller Roger Posted August 26, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 26, 2011 We have 6 or 7 brown water snakes living in and around the docks at Okeeheelee. Everyone just ignores them and they us. They're harmless and beneficial, so why get rid of them?
Baller ral Posted August 26, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 26, 2011 We have a couple of snakes in the dock during the season. They are the skiing kind though, and difficult to get rid of as well...
kfennell
shelby: we tried bigger snakes, but then we had to get even bigger ones and so on until one of them swallowed a member whole. Then we had to call in the game warden and such, its just too much work. Trust me the answer is water mongoose.
bxroads
An eagle would work.

bxroads
A .22 with snake shot works well with a lot less bang than a shotgun (if noise is an issue).

Baller nam1975 Posted August 27, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 27, 2011 I think this ? was not asked in jest....but I don"t think you can really get rid of them. @behindpropellers....I think you're in my neck of the woods...anything in the N US is harmless.....other than freaking out kids and lady friends. A lot of these critters are endangered....snakes, frogs,lizards......but I'm no reptile expert....Don't want some PETA person trolling the internet to find you!! Than you'll be next!! Baller Roger Posted August 27, 2011 Baller Share Posted August 27, 2011 Well, that one must be a record then since a full grown adult is usually about 2 to 3 feet long...
