Baller Ilivetoski Posted January 31, 2012 Baller Share Posted January 31, 2012 Ok so I have been thinking about upgrading from the old style strada boots, too the new style strada boots. I have heard that I would have to drill extra holes (I have 2 holes drilled from previous owner for D3 bindings, holes are above the bottom holes). Is it true that I need to drill even more? Thought I would try here before spending $$$ on gas to go to dealership.
Baller Roger Posted January 31, 2012 Baller Share Posted January 31, 2012 Holes in what, the ski? If the current plate fits, you won't have to drill anything. The new Strada bindings fit the existing plate. The sequence plate fits all current hole patterns. Am I missing something???
Baller Ilivetoski Posted January 31, 2012 Author Baller Share Posted January 31, 2012 My question is if I need to drill into the ski. The proshop said it dosnt fit the sequence plate.
Baller Roger Posted January 31, 2012 Baller Share Posted January 31, 2012 What ski do you have? The Sequence plate fits both the (current) HO and D3 patterns.
Baller eddie_roberts_jr Posted January 31, 2012 Baller Share Posted January 31, 2012 If you are installing Strada boots that are mounted to a Sequence plate onto an RS1 slalom ski you won't have to drill any holes. Is that what you're doing?
Baller Ilivetoski Posted January 31, 2012 Author Baller Share Posted January 31, 2012 If the new style strada boots will install on a sequence plate, I will do that. The local dealership told me that I have to have 2 seperate plates with the strada boots. I am talking about the brand new strada style with the strap across the bottom part and the thicker linear. Baller Ilivetoski Posted January 31, 2012 Author Baller Share Posted January 31, 2012 @Roger I have the RS-1 ski. I am trying to put Strada bindings on it without drilling more holes.

Baller Roger Posted February 1, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 1, 2012 What you have will fit. But your "local dealer" is wrong about the new Strada boots not fitting the sequence plate; they do.
HO 410
The local dealer is probably getting mixed up by the boots that use the feather-frame plates.
Baller eddie_roberts_jr Posted February 1, 2012 Baller Share Posted February 1, 2012 The Strada boots are now available on individual aluminum plates as well as the single Sequence plate to which both boots are mounted. Feather Frames are not available with Strada boots.
