Baller 19skier Posted April 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted April 7, 2013 Know there are a few in the NW that knew Jim Axe. He invited me to his lake for my first attempt at buoys - didn't make me feel bad for leaving muddy prints in the back of his first-time-in-the-water Malibu either. Seemed to be always hard at work on something, generous and very focused on his family - world needs more like that! Thanks Jim. http://missoulian.com/news/local/obituaries/james-daniel-axe/article_52f3eb88-9ee5-11e2-b1d9-001a4bcf887a.html

Baller jedgell Posted April 7, 2013 Baller Share Posted April 7, 2013 Truly sad. I skied with him regularly for the past 6 years, great guy with a great family. He welcomed anyone that wanted to learn how to ski, he wanted people to enjoy the beautiful lake he built. A lot of good memories of skiing, working on the lake, and just hanging out with him. Baller Skoot1123 Posted April 8, 2013 Baller Share Posted April 8, 2013 Pretty young guy. Thoughts and prayers are with his family and those whose lives he had an effect on.
Baller jlittle Posted April 8, 2013 Baller Share Posted April 8, 2013 Thoughts & prayers. A few years ago I was able to catch a weekday set at Jim's place with @jedgell and another guy... Frank, I believe his name was. Yeah Frank, I'm sure that's it. The wife & I were traveling around from home, to Glacier, to Wyoming ski tourney, to Yellowstone, etc etc and we talked to Jim about stopping buy and staying the night after driving for the day. He welcomed us with open arms. Gave us a place to park and I even got to ski. If you're into run-of-mill scenery we have here in the NW, sunsets and waking up to deer surrounding your RV it wasn't a bad place to spend the night. http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg274/sixat38/Axe01_zps5c795ddc.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg274/sixat38/Axe03_zpsaa5ddd1e.jpg http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg274/sixat38/Axe02_zpsf2d7f4b1.jpg
