FA
After a fall and release on my Powershell 4. I somehow lost my springs in the back of the plate. Because of this I also bent some of the bottom brackets holding the boots on. So I quickly jumped on the phone to get replacement parts from goode and they want over $50.00 for 2 springs and 2 bottom brackets. I that is just outside a poor college students budget for some tiny springs and washers. Needless to say any ballers out there have extra hardware they would separate with? Mainly looking for 2 spring assembly. email me please at frenchae at gmail.com
Baller Steven_Haines Posted May 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2013 Couldn't you pick up something comparable at Lowes? There's nothing magical there!
FA
I have cannot find springs at lowes. Nor do they have the bottom brackets that sit flush so it wont scratch the ski.
Baller Bulldog Posted May 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2013 @FA go to a commercial nut and bolt store, they should be able to hook you up for the price of a starbucks coffee..... "Do Better..."
Baller ForrestGump Posted May 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted May 10, 2013 I assume by brackets you mean the aluminum inserts. $12 each is ridiculous.
FA
@ShaneH yes you are correct. Just thought might be someone out there in baller world that had extra parts they no longer need. I guess I will see what I can produce locally.
Baller thager Posted May 11, 2013 Baller Share Posted May 11, 2013 I used toilet bolts through the plate to hold the springs with a nut and small washer on top. You possibly are looking for T-nuts and allen head cap screws which I also found at Lowes along with the springs from a different department there. Baller skihart Posted May 11, 2013 Baller Share Posted May 11, 2013 I will have a look when I get to the lake tonight. I have an old set of power shell 4's around somewhere. You can have anything that is in decent shape.
Baller ForrestGump Posted May 11, 2013 Baller Share Posted May 11, 2013 It's possible that you could use something like this: http://www.amazon.com/80-20-Inc-Slide-In-Economy/dp/B006ZCM6MC/ref=sr_1_1?s=industrial&ie=UTF8&qid=1368276045&sr=1-1 Or you could reach out to Mike Erb on here. I believe he made some replacements for a lot cheaper than Goode wanted.
