Baller skihard Posted September 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2013 I have a 2005 SN 196LE and yesterday had an alarm go off constantly in my tach. Wife was driving nothing out of the ordinary. When I climbed in the boat I thought it was my Perfect Pass going off but noticed the led light was constant red in bottom of the speedo and none of my gauges were working. ie: oil pressure, temp, etc. I looked but couldn't find anything in my manual about the alarm or what might be causing it plus all my dash gauges to not be working? I'm a fair drive from any Nautique dealer and was wondering if anyone else on here has experienced this issue or if anyone might have an idea as to why? I first noticed the oil presssure gauge wasn't working so right away checked oil level in boat and it's perfect and right where it should be? Any help is greatly appreciated! Baller Waternut Posted September 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2013 Sounds like the battery voltage dropped due to alternator belt coming off... It's worth a quick look anyway. If the belt is still installed and tight, check the battery voltage with a voltmeter and/or recharge the battery and see if it still happens. Baller estrom Posted September 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2013 I would check fuses as well.
Baller ForrestGump Posted September 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted September 10, 2013 LE gauges are driven via a canbus serial interface off of the engine ECU via a gateway box. If all the gauges have gone out you've either had a issue with the gateway box or the canbus cable. The gateway box in an 05 is in the trunk behind the back panels.
