Baller GOODESkier Posted October 16, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 16, 2013 Wondering if anyone has ever sent a ski into GOODE to have it reconditioned? $125 to completely refinish the ski. Looking for success stories about how the ski came back in new condition and what they actually were able to fix and message out.
Baller ForrestGump Posted October 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 17, 2013 That service has been around since Goode was painting the bottom with SEM bumper black auto paint, which makes reconditioning really easy. Now that they are doing full bottom and top graphic sheets, I'm not sure how much they can cosmetically recondition. You might message Chad Scott and see if he knows. Chad_Scott
It will come back completely reconditioned. They will repair and refinish the bottom of the ski. I have nicked a few of them on platforms and docks. Had one of my favorite skis redone after I got a little too close to the shore or should I say dry land on if. Didn't wanna jump on a new one. Still skiing on the one Dave fixed for me
Baller Zman Posted October 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 17, 2013 Sent one back for a handle ding repair and it also had minor scrapes and scratches on bottom. Came back quick, and looked almost new!
Administrators Horton Posted October 17, 2013 Administrators Share Posted October 17, 2013 Good to know considering how often I put skis into ceiling fans Goode ★ HO Syndicate ★ KD Skis ★ MasterCraft ★ PerfSki Radar ★ Reflex ★ S Lines ★ Stokes ★ Baller Video Coaching System Drop a dime in the can
Baller eleeski Posted October 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 17, 2013 Do they fix the ceiling fan blades too? The scary part is that I have put skis into ceiling fans also. Is @Horton imitating me?
Baller MattP Posted October 17, 2013 Baller Share Posted October 17, 2013 @Horton @eleeski I did it last night.. Granted it was in a sock, case and the fan was off...
Baller_ MISkier Posted October 17, 2013 Baller_ Share Posted October 17, 2013 @Horton and @eleeski, I've had some bad OTFs with the ski flinging a good distance away from me. However, it has never made it all the way into the house to connect with the ceiling fan. You guys must really be generating some cross-course speed. The worst slalom equipment I own is between my ears.
Baller GOODESkier Posted October 17, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted October 17, 2013 My bindings released when they shouldn't have and I kind of skied over the front of the ski with the plate and metal retainers. Pretty much all cosmetic, but wouldn't mind it looking a little better than it does..........
londonskier
I know Goode customer service has taken a beating on the forums, however my experience has only been goode. I use PS5's and 3 buckles have broken over a year. I just emailed them and got a next day reply, saying "no problem - I'll send you some new ones". I love that. Same a few months ago, when I needed new plate screws. And no charge. With service like that I'd be happy to send them a ski for a refurb.
Baller GOODESkier Posted December 10, 2013 Author Baller Share Posted December 10, 2013 I decided to send a Nano OneXT in to get some wear and tear and my crash gouges fixed on the ski. HANDS DOWN, looks like brand new. I am very impressed with the quality of the work and the speed that they turned the ski around in. WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND their work! Baller KcSwerver Posted December 10, 2013 Baller Share Posted December 10, 2013 Broke my 9900 and sent it in to get it fixed. It came back pretty much brand new. I sent it in without the fin block and they sent it back with a fin block w/ fin and wing.
