It's pay to play. In the future I may develop it but right now its just a ski lake.

It's about 2 hours south. I actually have a lot reservation on the ski lake.

Hey Ballers. I finally pulled the trigger and started digging my ski lake. Hoping to have it filled and ready to go by mid May. I have some questions about mitigating risk, structuring memberships and rates, boat usage, insurance, dock design etc. Is an LLC the best way to mitigate risk in the event that someone gets hurt and the insurance isn't enough? What other ways do you mitigate risk? How have you structured your memberships? Amounts charged Single Family Per pull Boat time? Do you use an hourly rate? Does it include fuel? What about damage? Insurance Who do you use? What are the coverage amounts? What premiums are you paying? Any dos or don'ts with regard to dock design? Planning on having an enclosed boat house with a lift and then a covered deck. Thanks in advance!

I bet you said the same thing about Perfect Pass and ZO. Probably don't like power windows in cars either.

Do you notice the ski wanting to turn in hard on the gates with the boots at 29 3/8? I had mine set there and it would roll over hard and take too much angle. Moved back to 29 and it skied great.

Interested to know the why behind this. Restoration?

In the past week I've seen a lot of boats for sale by owner on groups that I follow on Facebook. Those boats listed have the priced for quick sale language or reduced price. The tide is turning in the boating world. Keep in mind most of these boats I'm seeing are wake barges. I was in a boat dealer's shop yesterday and it was full of surf boats. It's almost July and they have a bunch of inventory. I'm guessing that the interest rate hike is really taking a bite out of demand. Hard to justify an 8% or higher interest rate on a 300k boat that depreciates.

I've skied my 2012 200 6.0 at that elevation. I had a high altitude prop on it. That being said, if it's a short set up their isn't much you can do for the boat to squeeze more hole shot to get up to 36. Give acme a call and they'll build a custom prop depending on your max rpms and what you're trying to get out of the boat.

@Horton you've commented that one of the keys to skiing in a stacked position is to keep your back leg straight. I've been really focusing on this but have notice that when I think my back leg is straight it really isn't. Is your back leg suppose to be straight or is this just a mental que to get you to move your com over your front foot and you will always have some bend? I think I know the answer but just wanted some clarification
